Whoops, didn’t have the gold to do that anyway!
Fox’s Den Students really seems like a stronger card than I initially gave it credit for, especially with Drakk backup. I think it’s a lot easier to make that work as P1, though, looking forward to being on P2.

So far so good. I think the most worrying units to be facing are Gilded Glaxx and Inverse Power Ninja. I need to be careful about Speed of the Fox, too, as a distant third. I’m liking the look of Reversal for dealing with them: it won’t kill them, but it will disable them, which is good enough for most purposes. It means I need to build a Heroes’ Hall, but I’ve got some gold to spare, and it’ll scare Nekoatl into thinking I’m going for Metamorphosis. An extra hero will help with my hand size problems, too.

Thieving Imp
Easy turn: Shadow Blade + Haunt kill Glaxx, maxband Vandy, Vandy destroys Tech I, Javelineer kills Setsuki. That leaves me with only 2 gold, before playing a worker, so unfortunately I’m choosing between a worker and bringing in Grave for the levels from Setsuki. Alternatively, Vandy kills Setsuki, and Javelineer leaves Tech I on 1 HP. That saves me the 2 gold for maxbanding Vandy, so I can both worker and play Grave. That does mean I might be facing another Glaxx, but if I draw Reversal. I’ll try taking Martial Mastery for better deck cycling. Metamorphosis is nice, but I have most of my board invested in Vandy as it is. TPoS is nice with the cards I’ve currently teched, but I’d need to get a maxband Grave to stick first. Best take a unit or another Reversal instead. I’ll take Gargoyle as the more offensive unit option, and as a gold sink when I’m shorter on cards than on gold.

Playing the Flagbearer could protect against the sword rune, if I can find a way to protect the Flagbearer… but, I can’t, however the Flagbearer may be able to protect my Tech I long enough to get a Tech II built. Unfortantely, that won’t work if he’s willing to pay to maxband Orpal. He can afford to do it, too. So, I should back up the Flagbearer with a hero, and preferably one who’ll still be valuable with -1/-1 runes, making Drakk potentially the better choice. Unfortuantely, that means I likely won’t have Drakk spells ready next turn, but I guess that’s a price I have to pay.

All I can do now is stall, big question is should I build a Tower to punish attackers? Supposing I draw a Glaxx but no Bloodlust next turn, I’ll need to pay at least $10 to haste the Glaxx… which I will have, but I won’t be able to also rebuild the Tower to protect against invisible heroes. On the other hand, without the Tower, there’s a possibility that he’ll break my Tech I, especially if he uses another Martial Mastery. But, that’s a risk even if I build the Tower now, and without Mastery, he’s more likely to break the Tech II. Guess I’ll wait, then.
