Thoughts
I’ve got 3 general options here: 1) Go hyper-aggressive and clear his patrol zone, paying $4 and burning 2 spells in the process; 2) Go for hand destruction and trade/replay the Imp; or 3) Play defensively and tech up early. I don’t like (1) because I’d be feeding patrol bonuses while burning through my hand. I don’t like (2) because I’d probably lose my Tech I to that Ninja, and I really need to be able to get Galina and Ardra out ASAP. I don’t like (3) because a max-level Setsuki is a pain to deal with. Then again, Inverse Power Ninja and Fox’s Den Students have terrible synergy, so maybe he won’t go that route. I think (3) is probably my best long-term bet, and hopefully he’ll prioritize the Graveyard or my Tech II over my Tech I. In any case, I should be able to play Vandy next turn.

I really think mythmaking is too slow, he shoulda gone Birds, or Boulder at the least. This was free levels and he has no means of taking out Sets. Even though FDS is counter-productive to IPN, it’s too good not to take. Probably that + Hero’s Hall or Tech 2 next turn

Okay didn’t bottom deck the Hidden Ninja, that’s good at least. Continue the stall, Grab Ember Sparks for more options on stalling out that tech 2 or ending. I’m sacrificing Ninjalinos only b/c I need to keep his attackers at a minimum. With only rook + 2 attackers, he won’t be able to break through to Sets almost no matter what, and that’s all I need to prevent to win.

I’ve played the deck you’re playing before, and I think mythmaking is too slow to go with first. Boulder + Soul Stone is probably decent though, followed by mythmaking + Galina
I think I could have won that one if I had started with a Gargoyle, but I’m happy to see my build fail to simply steamroll its way to victory with Mythmaking, for once. Thank you.

I’m not really sure how to go about this time: Gargoyle is certainly a nuisance I hadn’t considered. I have no anti-air or fliers until tech 2, so perhaps fire dart? Yea, I think I’ll juke Sets but rush fire tech 2, hope to lay some hotter fire for Sets
