Had I teched Now! on the previous turn, which was the original plan - I could have killed Vandy with NC and Stewardess by skipping a worker. Debating what other card to tech here other than Sentry. Temporal distortion could be a good way to get Stewardess back to hand and play some other card.
Iāve realized I had the spreadsheet incorrectly set for me as P1 this game. So without noticing, I paid myself $1 too little on T1 and T2. I could either give myself the additional $2 to play this turn ($9 total). Or since this is pretty messed up and weāre early on in this game, maybe better we just restart the game from scratch? Sorry!
Heās spamming skeletons, so Stewardess is a good response. Iām also teching Now which makes it possible to bring in Geiger for an unexpected Sparkshot and possibly get some free levels. I have much more attack on the board now, so heāll have to deal with it some how and Garth is not a scary hero (though he can deteriorate etc.). Heroesā Hall may be coming.

Skipping worker to clear the board and kill his Garth, while placing myself in a good board position. He might have deteriorate again or he could sac the weak but I should be able to get back to workering and build tech 2 next turn because Black doesnāt have any haste. He was smart to place the skele in resist which cost me the worker, but it seemed right to get rid of Garth since he invested in his levels and hopefully was teching for him (nether drain or doom grasp are strong choices). He might have just been counting on Garth for skele-draw.
I was debating whether to place Stewardess in the resist slot. I guess the only reason to do that is Shadow Blade, which would make it a bad trade. That would still mean he would spend 5 out of his 6 gold to get rid of Stewardess and leave Vandy exposed on the board, which may be ok for me, especially since I get the scav gold. However, if the shadow blade discard hits my TD then Iām in a bit of trouble.
Nice teching to anticipate the Garth kill. But he needed to skip a worker, should leave things open for me to rush Tech3. Can also threaten Metamorposis along the way, force him to put resources into dealing with Vandy.

Of course, skipping a worker was terrible because now I canāt build tech 2. Thatās a very bad mistake but thankfully he hasnāt been able to build tech 2 either. The tower prevents me from making the trades I wanted with Stewardess and Temporal Distortion and even Argonaut wonāt kill BC without dying. So Iām opting to switch up for defensive Argonauts while prepraing to tech up. Iām teching a second Stewardess because BC will leave skeles everywhere and I donāt want to draw a tech card next turn. I think I will tech Chronofixer next turn so that I can stop Vandy craziness and Garth fetching things that are dead. No heroesā hall and no tech 2 yet - my pressure forced him into tower which is good for me for now.

With the Tower, happy to let him attack into my units. Teching Nether Drain and Voidblocker, though was tempted to tech 2x Zarramonde instead for possible T6 play. But with Dark Pact in the deck, still have a possible T6 draw if I tech them next turn.

Thoughts
So heās happy to just tech up and keep the stalemate where it is, so I shouldnāt be. Heās ahead of me with tech 2 up before mine and though not attacking with bonecollectors means losing out on their skeletons, not attacking with argonauts means losing out on their readiness. And his tower makes his BCs good enough on defense to hold off my Argos. Here are some options I have:
Go to tech 2, as planned, play a Fargo/Plexus and stick the stalemate. His BCs will not be able to break through my Argos on their own and whatever tech 2 he plays will not yet be a threat, until I get my tech 2 up in the next turn. The problem is that this will at most be a Hyperion with TD.
go to tech 2, skip worker and clear his board by casting Now! on Fargo and attacking with both Argos, killing Vandy and flicking an Argo to full health. Thatās not an ideal target for flicking but Iāll have Geiger and Argo for next turn, in addition to Hyperion (if I donāt get H, I can tap Geiger to draw him but then not have Geiger attack) and his tech 2 will suffer 3 damage. Tech 2 is likely to be dozers and/or blockers (heās been going for a defensive style) and if I clear his board, heās likely to go for voidblockers if he can. To deal 6 damage I need two units so a blocker will not allow me to destroy tech 2 (unless I can TD to a Tricycloid).
not build tech 2 and go ahead with plan no. 2 while not skipping a worker and building a heroeās hall.
Thatās a tough choice because I clearly want to clear his board but skipping a worker after iāve already skipped one is brutal, especially if I canāt even break tech 2 (or even the tower)
