Thoughts
mordred just teched 2 cards after a few turns teching nothing, and hasn’t cycled yet, so I’m not super-worried about facing a Nebula or what have you next turn. With that in mind, I can clear the board w/o Bigby’s help, which means I can use him to draw, and maybe luck into a Plague Lord.
…
Got one! I think I can lock this board up pretty tight.
I’m about ready to call this one, but here’s one last small show of strength.

Infinite sword runes? Sign me up!
Even if mordred did tech a Lord of Shadows, which I doubt, I don’t see it making much of a difference at this point.
In the end, play all the cards. Using the Plague Lab to get extra sword runes is friggin’ sick. I hadn’t heard of or seen that before and reserve the right to steal it for future use.

Not much point playing TPoS if I can’t get the base kill. Maybe next turn?
Ok, it’s time to concede. Very well played. That well-timed Judgment Day totally swung the game.
I found a fun Catapult combo I wanted to try that also required a Tech Lab, which is an add-on I’ve never used. The plan was to use Omegacron to fuel the catapults using skeletons and maybe Mirror Illusions and wreak havok on your buildings. Then Quince could copy catapults and so on.
In hindsight I should have teched Skeletal Lords against Disease. The extra defense could have helped them survive the Plague Lord, Plague Lab, and Abomination.
I think the combo could be sound, but you just refused to let me get it all out. I was all set to play Omegacron and start the pain on turn 7. Then Judgment Day happened.
Again, great game.

GG WP!
Yeah, spamming unbuffed skeletons against Disease is setting yourself up to be frustrated. I generally find Necro tech 2 to be powerful as long as you’re in the lead, but very tough to comeback with, which makes it super-vulnerable to things like Judgment Day.
Anyway, this was a fun game! If you want to tweak your game-plan and have another go, we can switch P1 and P2.
I’m down for a rematch, but I’m also a big fan of random squads. Let me know which you prefer and I’ll set it up.
I’d like to give this codex another spin, if that’s alright. I wouldn’t mind if you change it up though.
Nope. I’ll play the same. I’m just going to continue on this thread. I’ll post turn 1 shortly.

Whiffed the Sparring Partners, but that’s okay. I’ll just HH for now, then next turn I can tech up +Partner + 2nd hero.
Pity I have to let the free lvls off Garth go to waste, but I think it’s still worth it, gold-wise.
I guess a boosted Hoodie would be pretty bad right now, but that’s still a big gold investment at this point, so maybe not that terrible.

I didn’t think about the Mirror getting sac’d, that was a nice trick. Still, not an overwhelming board presence by mordred, and I get to tech up first.
…
Not a bad post-reshuffle split. Ideally, I play Abom next turn with a 2nd hero or extra sparring session. Then the turn afterwards I can Injunction something while dropping Plague Lab or Gorgon.

Thoughts
I don’t need to worry about Mirrors as long as Abom is around. And I won’t need to worry about losing Abom to StW/Hoodie as long as Spartner is around. Which means I should probably buff him out of the range of a Deteriorate kill.
I reckon I’ll have too much stuff to spend gold on next turn, so tech 3 is off the table for now. I’ll tech a Sickness as fuel for Plague Lab (and maybe Orpal’s maxband, if we get there), and a Cursed Crow to pick off Skelelords.
…
A bit bummed not to have drawn Plague Lab… If mordred floods the board here, I might have to sac Spartner to Orpal’s midband.
