Most annoying things to deal with early game are Nullcraft and Fading Argonaut. Careless Musketeer and Scorch lets me deal with either of them. If it’s Mox, I can sideline it with the Musketeer and a Mad Man, and hit his base with Rambaster.

Damn that Nullcraft. I could get rid of the Fading Argonaut, then get Drakk out and steal all his float. Or I could Hidden Ninja the units I have and destroy the Tech I, could be useful against a stalling starter like Purple. Or I could kill the Argonaut with Bombaster and Mad Man and destroy the Tech I without playing a hero yet. The first and third options both put me down on cards, but the third doesn’t reveal what I’m doing yet. Putting in a Hail to try to get some more punch next turn, I’ll be a bit low on attackers. I’d also have 1 gold left after worker+Setsuki+Hidden Ninja+Rambaster.

I could hit the Tech I again with Nautical Dog and the Rambaster, but Mad Man can’t protect Setsuki if Drakk survives and it wrecks my hand in the process. I’m just going to defend for now, hopefully denying Tech I for a turn messed up codexnewb’s Fencer draws but maxband Drakk can make that pretty irrelevant.
