Key good thing about this split is that I have a 1-drop in my first two hands, which I need given the possibility of Building Inspector to make Tech I an eye watering 3g

How do I even start here? Porkhand dies to Bloom on Troq, a bad trade for messenger. Aven does not defend me, and my heroes also die to Bloom, or just a Troq level up. Quince mirror could defend, but dies to spark. I could kill his messenger with a Truth mirror, but then level up Bloom Troq kills my Quince. I seem to end up on the back foot hard here. I could use up a card to get the board advantage though… bold plays? Where to put TD? Lookout avoids Spark. But if he doesn’t have spark, then Scav means I could arrest his new unit, tech up, and play a jail next turn. Bold plays.

First misplay from me. No reason not to patrol Troq in SQL to keep Messenger alive.
Early Quince can be a bit of a liability as he’s so gold intensive but he does come with chump blockers. If he wants to Arrest my Brother he can but it’ll cost him that Scav gold.
Ack. Sorry, I used the sheet on my phone, and initially screwed up by not moving MT to the discard, then tried to use undo to fix it and got the whole thing into a mess. I thought I had reconstructed everything with my original draw coming through on the template but obviously failed and did not check it properly.
It should be fixed now i.e. I have fixed my hand in the above post, referencing my sheet history, and made sure the sheet is consistent going forwards. Let me know if you want me to do anything else (redraw etc). Sorry!
What is my goal this turn? And in life? In life, spark and intimidates are good on Illusions, so I think I am going stall into Big Law. So I want to slow him down more. Now options. Expensive Arrest and BI. BI trades badly though, unless it is in Elite, in which case Spark/Messenger and Troq kills Quince. If in SL and Quince patrolled, wither and Troq kills Quince but I could get a bonus out of it. Option 2: Tower and BI. Now BI trades better, and Troq must be levelled or runed to avoid trading with Quince, but it still feels a bit rubbish. Option 3: Mirror and Musketeer. I can put Musketeer in Elite for a trade with standard Brother or unlevelled Troq, and Mirror in a bonus slot. Messenger or Spark or Wither/Bloom and 2g and Troq kills Quince. Option 4: Newsman 2 and mirror. Safest in terms of having Quince left at the end - any of the out of hands mean both units die, but I still have Quince at the end to make more mirrors. Sloooooow dowwwwwn.
@Bryce_The_Rice I assume from your comments that I’m good to post, let me know if I got that wrong!

Quite happy to kill off his units, leave him with Quince as a hero and build some float to transition to Tech II smoothly while I pressure. He can kill Troq but it costs him 3 cards and 4-6 gold (depending on unit cost) so he would have to give me the tech lead in that line.

I admit I forgot Brick Thief just has resist 1. It’s quite good, eh? Can I tech up? Is it worth it if I do? Guardian is actually ?good against his swarm that I have let build up. If I do - SL Quince holds 4 damage so for example BT and Brother. Troq then levels to 3. Messenger kills the mirror I probably make in this scenario. He has LOTS of gold to make Troq 4 attack, at which point he 1 hits a tech building with his buff. I then get a bit of board next turn before probably being overwhelmed later. Alternatives. Arrest is bad at 3g, but would let me kill Troq with MT messenger and swing with Quince. But his units just kill my Tech I afterwards. I’m too behind on the board for Jail. I could Search, but then what? Scribe is nice-ish, but doesn’t let me tech; overeager is middling, and the others don’t really help at all. If I do get Scribe, I can play it, and then Tower behind it. If I get OE, I can play it and Tech behind it with an extra TD to defend. If I get a dud… I can maybe Arrest and mirror for time. So what Techs do I want? Let’s gamble, badly. //////// Post draw - Scribe. OK then. Well I’m definitely playing it, so let’s play first, draw, and think later. He is probably going to tech up, so he’ll have 4 gold left. bloom and level up Troq gives max swing, which wipes mu current board. with ease. If I Arrest, then it still does. If I Mirror, then it still does. If I Mirror and play TD, then BT and OB kill SL Scribe, bloom pops mirror, and messenger kills TD… but then if he teched up he can’t level Troq for the hero/tech building kill, and can’t afford his CC. I eke ahead with card efficiency eventually. → ?? → profit

I think he really should have patrolled Quince here! A critical tech break is well worth leaving my patrol open, even if it will most likely losing Messenger and therefore haste for my mimics. I don’t see a route to killing Troq so I should still have some aggro as I take a tech lead.
I think I have entered the downward spiral part of the game. I may be able to get back in with a nice Injunction or Judgement day if he is careless? I think with this set up he can’t quite break my building again without two spells. I would play the Aven, but then his mimic gets flying…
Yes apologies for the slight delay, been trying to speed things up but was out last night and been run off my feet the whole day. Had already thought out what I wanted to do but no chance to post it!

Board clear and tech break again, he needs to have something like Community Service to try and come back into this, and even then its probably only delaying the inevitable
Community Service, target hand - ($3)
See Death and Decay
Calculate the meaning of that
Call GG
GG WP! I am out of practice. P2 blue is always playing defense until the midgame, but the 2g to make Troq 3 attack very often felt meaningful. The maxband overpower certainly did. Anyway, I clearly patrolled wrong on my T3 to allow that tech break, otherwise I might have had some chance. More games are needed.
GG @James I don’t blame you, D&D is a pretty horrendous card to see in your opponents’ hand! Disease is a real challenge for Blue and the new Troq is a very capable combat hero. He certainly bashes harder than vanilla
Best of luck in the rest of the games, and a lot of respect from me for testing out Blue despite the Garrison nerf
