Mox+float seems too passive but Fargo in Elite seems good vs this opening. Unless I’ve missed something he can’t kill Garth behind it. Alternative credible line is Fargo+Plasmo. Hits hard once Plasmo arrives, but then I have a more passive board state, go down in cards a d have awkward gold management due to lack of 1-drops, the latter being one of the things I brought Garth to solve for me.
No worries, besides the start this has nothing to do with Burning Legion and a completely different strategy. And you have the only deck in this tournament with one of the top 3 tech2 with in a supporting deck. So will be an interesting game.

Lets max out board. He has some lines where he can kill Garth and at least one line I can find where he can break my Tech I. That break needs 2x Lobbers in hand and I would keep Garth so I could rebuild and lean on strong starter cards if that’s how it plays out.

Ok, the last draw was worst case, missed both lobbers and even bombaster. With dog not in round 1, I am not able to do now any good trades, which is crucial for this deck as P1. Seems already lost, only luck can bring me back on track. Was hoping for a NC technician kill, but Hug0 is too experienced, in case he had NC on hand.
I think I have to deal with argonauts and BS. Could be also BC. Stewie would allow Hug0 to kill Drakk, but there is no better option for me. FF, too, but then I will have the revenge kill.
Interesting choice. At least Hug0 is helping me with the base damage. I don’t think he has another one and will not be able to use this one anymore. 10 base damage against blood would be too much. But still no favourable trades. Not looking so great. We switched positions. I have now the gold advantage, he is the one with first tech 2 units. The huge card advantage is bad. Not so much cards for him, I hope he anyway cannot use them, but 3 for me is very bad.
I think he teched 2 immortals, or immortal and now. I seem to remember that he likes that combo. If I had any other choice I would check the previous games. But if it is a hyperion I anyway cannot place drakk safe. So at least a Tric cannot kill him. But I don’t believe either that a Tric is coming.
I will not do the same mistake like Mouse and fight strong units without kidnapping. I hope one is enough. Should have done that one round earlier, but I did not expect tech rush and LB.
Oooft all gone pretty fast for minimal cost on his end. Maybe SQL horror would have been better.
Immortal is good vs Blood. I’m assuming he teched Dark Pact to feed the blood engine, so I can’t guarantee the low hand sticks for long.
Need to start building some burst but also need to get something to deal with Drakk and/or Vandy. Can’t go much wrong with Doom Grasp. Hoping to Garth in something but no guarantees with Drakk Maxband on the board.
Yes, max Drakk is usually coming with a horde. But this one is more an unorganized filthy little rout, which came one turn too late, and directly disappeared after the fight…

Let’s play it safe, don’t know if that is enough… I don’t think his second tech 2 is a hyperion but he could fetch one. Took me the whole day to come up with a solution (base damage or tech break and according tech choices)
I have done a small mistake which would have won me the game. Need to understand that strat better. So I am still a small step behind…
Not a fan of this worker skip, or blowing Geiger Maxband without board gains, but I desperately need my Immortal back in SQL. The game likely comes down to how much haste he has in the tank on this next turn.

A lovely checkmate from you @Moby_Dick. I’m sure even if I had the necessary Origin Story in hand, a Dark Pact would be soon to follow to do away with me. I can get your base to 9HP but no further.
I’ve learned the hard way this is not the deck to play Lich’s Bargain against! Very well played and decisively won
Thanks a lot! Yes I think, there was only a theoretical chance. It would have been OS and double tech break.
But it was a very tough game. The turn before the last one caused me 1 day headache, evaluating what you might have teched and going full on the base or tech break. I felt due to the whiff in turn 3 always a small step behind, which is a far distance against a good player! And yes, this deck is designed for base race.
You played very well and have a good deck. Your strongest weapon is a maxband garth in turn 4 or 5 pulling in Hyperion or Tric. I am sure this will win you several games in this tournament.
