OK, I was surprised by that one. Technician draw is useless, Young Treant gives me a 50/50 chance of drawing the Bird’s Nest. Is there anything better I could do? I could just put maxband Rook down and stall. I’ve got enough gold to do that after playing Young Treant, so I’ll play that first and see if I can bring the Birds back instead. Do I want to tech anything first? The other Crashbarrow and Bloodlust, perhaps? Moment’s Peace might be good if he’s going for Surprise Attacks, especially to quickly get a MoLaC up. Not much need for the other Recruiter if he’s mostly going for Tech II and tokens. Second Bloodlust might not be so good if I’m spending 5 gold on a Recruiter, I’ll go for Moment’s Peace.

… Damn, drew the Bloodlust. I’ll just put maxband Rook down. If I’d known I was doing that, I’d have teched an Earthquake… well, never mind.

Drakk is great if he can stick around, but he falls over very easily if you can reach him, and I had nothing to block up with. I had a Prospector I could have blocked him with, but with shove and Birds it wouldn’t have helped. Strength was probably the better spec choice, but if I try this again I probably need to grab the Ogres first, not the Crashbarrows. And not feed you so much gold.

imo the gold feed the early turns was decisive, since allowed me to feed on your resources. Imo would have ended in your victory otherwise.
