Gargoyle sounds like a smart move here with Spirit of the Panda and no Anti-Air / Flying from Carpe… StW is a risk but I have some weanies to keep that at bay (and can tech more in with a Dark Pact). Still plan for MoLaC.

My Thoughts

Well that saaahks… Losing DP limits my choices here. Wither and dump Jandra buys some time but doesn’t really get me the tempo I was hoping to generate. Still, Vandy is a monster in her current form. Two Step gets mitigated with a Jandra kill, floating 1 means I can drop Gargoyle + tech up next turn and stay at 4 cards… I should be okay. If he draws fencer + Starlet that’s a bummer for sure but we’ll manage.

Firebat?? That’s an unexpected choice… Wasn’t even thinking about lobber, either… I have to expect at least 50/50 on Crashbarrow, but let’s tech one MoLaC in case I can line that up, tech up now (so I don’t get locked off it), and we’ll grab a Surprise Attack to bite back with in case I do get locked off. For sure hoping to draw the SotP next turn, as then no matter what I have a guaranteed tech break if I want it.

I’m confused by this; deteriorate only works on units yeah? You’re welcome to trade firebat into vandy but the flamethrower isn’t going to get the job done (and besides, vandy has resist 1)

My Thoughts

If I had split the Surprise Attack draw to next turn, I would probably feel safe to lay MoLaC here, as I could nearly full-charge it the next turn. With the draw as it is, though, not much sense in playing MoLaC. So better to stall him out and get my dive-bomber online. Hopefully I can cycle quick enough with DP to get back to MoLaC. I’ll worker this one and tech the other, as I don’t want to worker Surprise Attack or Flagbearer, and I need Tenderfoot for StW cover. He’ll probably strike back with a Drakk Max play, but that won’t leave him enough gold to StW. Let’s just hope he doesn’t have Appel Stomp or Kidnapping…
