Aven can’t be targetted by Purple spells unless it’s patrolling. It should prevent the kind of tinkerer->plasmodium opener that caught Leaky off guard.
Mono Purple is not my best monocolor, but I don’t particularly think the deck across from me is very good (bad luck Offkilter). So I’m probably just going to go to the tried and trusty Present + Geiger shenanigans and hope that’s enough to take it down. Drawing into my beefy ground forces, so I feel safe to bring Geiger out here for some offense
Aven for Nullcraft is a fair trade, and prevents Geiger and Nullcraft from taking out the Musketeer too easy. I’m not sure what to do against purple, so a Jail could give me a preview of what to expect. I think forecast units would skip that queue, so I might expect them.
Him trading even is fine for me, going to get the board flush with baddies and hope I can capitalize next turn. Not going to try to sneak super early tech 2, Stewardess and Argo can really help me own the board early so that’ll be the play

Well played! I’m guessing Hyperion is the tech of choice, given the card economy. Cursed Ghoul and Abomination are both big enough to survive when Hyperion attacks. Could build up to a strong Plague Lab with disease and Sparring Partners

Did not expect him to get down with the sickness (you motha get up, come on git down with sicknehss) Bit of a bummer but oh well, we can deal with it. Drawing Tri here works out perfect, going to kill Orpal and give the levels to… Vir I think, since I have the assimilate floating around, and that way I can maybe delay having to lay the battle suits for a turn (I’d rather get more board if I can, Fargo or Plexus or Argo). Teching another Argo (gotta leave the Hyperion and Tri twins in codex for TD) and… Promise of Payment isn’t a bad choice, but I think Cronofixer would round things out for me nicely. So would Unphase, but I guess we’ll see if I need to tech that later…

TD, well I definitely want that NEXT turn and not now, so I guess we’re laying the Battle suits b/c no way I’m waiting until next cycle to do so… How to patrol? Vir’s expendable, but should be safe behind SQL Stewardess (who’s even more expendable, especially now that she’s caught a cold from Orpal), and I really want the Tri to survive to TD next turn. So that’s what well do. I’m gonna worker Plexus, maybe I would prefer to worker TR or maybe even nullcraft / time spiral? But I have plenty of Battle Suit wearers, and not having to tech more if I don’t want to sounds like a good thing, especially as I’ll be bloating a little from TD usage.

Bit of a bummer there, but still the very fortunate TD + Hyperion draw here gives me a big edge. I can punish this and hopefully start breaking buildings next turn. Not gonna tech anything, keep the deck fairly clean.
I think I’ll worker the Assimilate with no Peace plan, Plague Lab is mostly useful when played and not really worth stealing.

“Stewardess of the Undone (2/2, -1,-1)”
Since Stewardess of the Undone is 2/3, I understood this to mean that she had one damage and a -1,-1 token, leaving her at -1,-1 before the abomination.
It looks like GG anyways, but how is it possible for Stewardess to be 2/2? If that was a typo, then I’m quite miffed about the memes when you were in error.
I was confused too, so I went back through all his turns to check.
The Stewardess had a -1/-1 rune, but no damage; the extra point of attack was coming from Battle Suits!
So she was a 2/2 all along.
Sorry for the confusion you two! I’m putting the result of the -1/1 and battle suits together to reflect its final state. Perhaps (3/3, -1/1 = 2/2) would be clearer but I’ve always put the current stats first, front and center, and only list damage or runes if they might be relevant to future cards or abilities (in this case, Spreading Plague, Cursed Ghoul, Orpal Max or Plague Lab)
