So this is a Fire Wall deck. The idea is to put down a lot of walls and wall-like things and see if Jaina can survive enough to be useful at Tech II. Rook to come out early. Cheap bodies and Jail early. Boulder, maybe Knight early. Censorship Council and GotG at Tech II.

I expect to lose this one to Mirror Gliders/Barrows. But having Jail in opening hand against not-Zane is pretty great. Either Newsman or Rook, +Tech I next turn.

Hah. I forgot Knight is not in this build. I considered teching Firebat (solid 3/3 for 2), but opted for Birds instead, given that he’s a bit short on answers (best being Bloodlust).

Weird… no cheap take-out of the Director?
I’m sticking to the plan and happy with the results. After the draw I got 2x GotG on a turn where Tech II is likely to be alive, unless he decides to stealth Cal to break it. If Tech II is down, I can build a Tower for good value against his board, plus play Aven, Newsman, and worker a GotG.

Next tech is Gryphon and Flame Arrow? Ember Sparks? Injunction? CB Dragon and go for Tech Lab?

Tower seemed more value for the money, and brought me back up on cards. If he plays Behind the Ferns, those Frogs will take out Tech II, and I won’t be able to play the other GotG that I just re-drew, or the CCouncil. If I had 1 more money, I would have played Newsman on 2 to deal with Ferns, but it didn’t seem worth skipping a worker.

If Tech II is down, I’ll probably spend all my money and skip worker playing Lv. 5 Jaina + Flame Arrow, then get max Jaina when Cal dies. Tech in another Burning Volley (which was hopeful of me this turn), and go nuts the following (hopefully).

Building Tech III would keep Cal alive, which would leave me too vulnerable to Ferns or just her+Invis Tiger. The extra GotG helps with Tigers. Going all in on Jaina would leave me short a worker. Granted, I did almost that, but now I have a hope of doing interesting things. I’m thinking max Jaina+Tech III, or max Jaina+Rook+Newsman.

Realized Bigby would let me stash BV, so went with him over Rook. Decided Newsman to hamper Ferns was more important than Tech III, and makes him split his targets more.

This all hinges on whether he kills Jaina. With Jaina alive, I could do BV+FA+CC+worker, or BV+FA+Tech III, or BV+CC+Tech III, any of which would be crippling.
