2 main plans this turn: 1) Go for Tech II or 2) Max-band Oni. After looking at his hand, maybe I can do both… Oni needs 3 gold to max, Tech II is 4 gold and Lawful search is 1g. I miss out on casting Boot Camp, which would allow me to deny him a Tech draw and buff a wisp, also allows me to snipe Arg or really hit his tech II hard, but thats OK. I think? I’m delaying my offense for a turn but Lawful Search is clutch - without it, I would probably have attacked more recklessly.

Can he win if I continually break Tech II? That is the question. I’m interested to see his answer. With one more unit I can make the Spy a 5/5 (assuming DS lives), so this will pretty much necessitate a Tower from him…and he didn’t worker! He has 9 gold to play with, 10 with prospector, so 7 after a Tower for the detector. Leveling Cal to 5 costs 4 so 3 left, then he could discard 2 and pop the Spy…leaving Cal at 1 health. That seems OK? My biggest fear is probably Dinosize. Stampede looks really bad. Murkwood Allies is pretty good here and I thought about just killing Cal, but I drew both my DS and Spy and want to get my combo going. Plus breaking Tech II stops MoLaC and Blooming Ancient. Teching in cheap units and another DS.

Oni’s death opens the door to new Paths of evil. I could summon a Tiger next turn, or I could litter the board with little bodies, or I could use Treant to try and draw Cal spells.

OK, he’s going Tiger-Crazy and hasn’t built a Tech I. Or a Hero’s Hall! Cal’s ult seems really bad if you have no Tech buildings. Murkwood Allies seems likely but I can’t fire off my Newsman this turn. Best I can do is Tower up and keep turtling.

Right, regardless of whether the Tiger is invisible the copy ability doesn’t target and a patroller can always be attacked, so the play is legal even without Tower.
