That could have gone worse, I guess, but it still hurts. Oh man, what to do now? I guess, punish him for not having a patroller and block as cheaply as possible while I tech up… nothing he has will hit for less than 2 damage anyway, so Mad Man is perfect fodder. Or… I could block with Mad Man, tech up, and play Bloodburn… but if I do that, it’s very likely I’ll lose my Tech I, so I won’t.

Thoughts
Ugh, he patrolled as Lookout. I can get a Drakk kill here, but it would be freaking expensive. But, the alternative is he’ll almost certainly rush down my patroller with a newly played unit and crush my backline. No good. I have to go for the kill.

Drakk and Mad Man break Tech II, your base to 13 HP
Ugh, again with the skillfull patrol. What am I going to do about his? Facing Tech II: Present units is not an attractive thought, but is there a way I can break though and demolish his building? Hmm… yes, though it’s worryingly wasteful. I sure am burning through a lot of cards, too… well, desperate times call for Desperation spells.
I only drew Blood spell, ouch. That’s terrible synergy with Desperation, and it severly limits my options this turn. If I summon and midband Quince, I can attack with as many Mad Man as I want at the low, low price of $4 per point of damage dealt… haha… haha… Well, this seems like a good time to tech up, but what do I want to spec into? Hmm… if I go for Truth, I can make good use of the Carrion Curse/Eyes of the Chancellor synergy, but the problem is that I’ll need Macciatus to protect any Illusions I might play. Or I could go Disease and build upon Plague Spitters, and/or go for Cursed Crows. Well, I’ll have a hard time no matter what I choose, but I feel like Disease will give me some good options, especially with Blood’s ability to bestow Haste. I don’t want to worker my Blood spells, but I feel like I probably should… but nah, I’ll just use the extra card to increase my draws. If I summon a hero, it’s sure to be killed, and now he can get free levels from it, so I’ll hold off I guess.

GG WP. I thought Desperation would be useful since I kept burning down my hand size, but I didn’t expect it to be that useful. Here’s my T1 if you’re game to run it back.

Eh, why not? If I can land some early base damage, it may help me squeak out a clutch victory like last game.

Not really keen of skipping a worker to do this, but the alternatives all seem less attractive… Taking Bloodlust here because I’ll be able to play it even after my Drakk gets killed, and for its usefulness as a targeted damage spell.
