There’s stuff he can do, but none of it is likely to help him much. I have guaranteed Metamorphosis while he has no card and little board presence.

There are no -1/-1 runes for Orpal’s maxband to move around. May I assume you’ll keep your turn as is but without the runes?

It says “it puts a -1/-1 rune on 2 units”
I don’t see anything about the runes having to already be on the board

It says, “The first time a unit with a -1/-1 rune dies each turn, the active player puts a -1/-1 rune on two units friendly to the dead unit.” The way I read it, a -1/-1 rune has to be present on the unit that dies before Orpal can spread them out.
