Thoughts

Didn’t get my weenies, but Safe Attacking will do. As P1 I have a fair chance of proc-ing it, and anyway it thins the deck.
I’ll refrain from workering Primus, in case mordred makes heavy use of Nullcraft.
Next turn I might go for an early HH, to threaten Zane shenanigans and afterwards CoL. Probably take Birds and Tiny B as my first techs.

Thoughts

My first priority ATM is keeping Rook alive, so I’m willing to lose some tempo to ensure that happens.
It would’ve been fun to midband Rook and squash Oni through the patrol, but either Nullcraft or Battlesuits would punish me for that, and that’s not odds I’m ready to bet against.

Thoughts

So here’s how this has been working for me. Peace keeps me going through tech 1 with the help of Battle Suits. It’s innate card and gold economy is very helpful, as I go Present at Tech 2, which is kind of expensive. Then it’s Hyperions Temporally Distorted into Crashbarrows. A tech lab is often needed to be able to keep the Crashbarrows coming later if I can’t get lethal the first time I TD. It’s worked well in practice, but with Balance I can’t rely on the Battle Suits not get Reclaimed, so Drakk frenzy will be needed for the Hyperions to be able to one-shot tech buildings. I also have to fear Geiger getting Snapbacked, so he may need to sit out until TD is ready and get played the same turn, lowering the chances of me getting Hyperion right back into play. It’s good, though, to have to think this all out in a different way.

And yay, my T3 draw had neither of my first teched cards in it. Lucky me.

I could lose Rook to Fargo + Plexus, but I think that leaves me ahead, all things considered. Sticking with the original plan, hoping to get a Mimic off of CoL, ideally benefitting from birds and Zane.

No reshuffle yet on mordred’s part, I’m hoping that means no Hyperion/Tricycloid in hand (even with the tech draw).
I’m floating a bunch to set up a big next turn. Ideally, I attack safely with a buffed Tiny B, then CoL it for a hasted flying Mimic. I’ll be very happy indeed if I could pull that off plus play a Potent B, who’s a good counter to both aforementioned Present units.

So yeah, Potent B is a fine counter to Hyperion and Tricycloid. But an even better counter is preemptively breaking the tech 2, which I could do with Mimic+Zane.
With Tiny B bounced, a CoL into Mimic would be ridiculously expensive. So Captain Zane to the rescue!
And since I’m not playing any of my Tiny B’s, CoL seems kinda obsolete. I’ll worker it and just tech the units I want.

Got a bunch of options in my next hand. Should help me stay ahead after the inevitable angry retribution by maxband Drak.

Oof, that’s just about the best value you can get out of a Ready or Not. And losing my tech 2 with all these guys in hand… that hurts.
Nothing I can do to stop those scary Present guys coming into play now, but at least I can prevent them getting flickered or TD’ed by Geiger. Not to mention a potential 2nd copy of Ready or Not…
I could technically afford tech 3, but for now I’d rather bolster my patrol a bit and float some gold. I’ll only be drawing into T-Rexes the turn after next anyway.

mordred could get through Potent B, but not do much beyond that. Definitely not address both Rook and my tech 3, either of which by itself is now a win condition.

And that’ll do it. GG as always. I made a huge blunder by not paying attention to when I was going to cycle and teching my tech 2s a turn late. I don’t know if it would have saved me, but it sure didn’t help.
