Can’t get rid of the Aven this turn but next turn I can threaten whatever else he plays with Calamandra and use Spore Shambler to pop it, so I’m not super concerned right now. I should have 8 gold next turn and the stronger board aggression so I should be in a good position to pressure him.

Going for a Brave Knight and a Scribe, Green struggles a bit more against a wide board and the latter’s card draw should help me spam units a bit. Workering the Arrest, because I want to try to get Jail down later. I’ve got enough gold left over for a hero, but with Cal out that’s a bad idea. No Tech I here unless I can kill Building Inspector. The destruction of my hand size feels like too much to pay for that so lets instead defend up and tech in board filling spells. If I draw well I’ll have a spread of buffs and summons to keep my turn threatening.

Yes this is what I wanted - good options to worker and two different cost spells. Lets see if my good fortune holds

Thoughts

Reputable Newsman seems like a must against a delayed-tech Calamandra, and I can put Porky down too to stand in front. Even if the Treant is runed, blocking Ferocity stops a blowout. I’m putting myself fairly low on cards here, but that’s what my initial techs were for, right?

I’ve got 2 gold for a hero again, but again I don’t know who to take. Probably no one, since Calamandra is still out there, otherwise I’d’ve played Quince for the Mirror, so thehug0naut had a dilemma about what to rune. Teching the Lawful Search because I still want the Jail as an option, and I’ll hopefully have a lot of draw power anyway.

Not sure how to tech here, but if I don’t play the Scribe next turn I should have the gold to get a fast Tech II before my next cycle, so I’ll go for Tech IIs. Insurance Agents don’t work on Brave Knights, and I’m running my current hand a bit low for a big illusion play, so I’ll go for Peace.

I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have plans for Oni here but I’m happy to take the levels for Calamandra even it means going down on cards. The only things that can counter my plans are Newsman blocking MoLaC / Free Speech / Injunction and none of them really help him win the game. Only Newsman is compatible with him getting to Tech II next turn but at that point I’ve got card free board generators in Calamandra and Arg.

My win condition is one attack from activation so all I have to do is fill the board with as many bodies as possible and hope its enough. Don’t have the gold to worker here so guess I’m skipping.
