Thoughts

Well this is feels like a bit of an experiment! I like Rich Earth too much vs Blue not to play it with this split. I’ll worker Verdant Tree as I need all the units I can get now. Ironbark might actually end up being useful vs Blue for once.

If he doesn’t play Building Inspector I’ll have enough gold to drop Max Arg + Merfolk + Tech I. If he plays it then maybe I can use Young Treant to help me spam out more patrollers.

Even if this goes poorly I think it’ll be a pretty fun line to explore.

That looks like huggie’s trying for an Argagarg’s Riches opening, with an extra gold to still build Tech I if Building Inspector comes out. I’m not sure I’m too worried about the Water Elemental, though: Onimaru and Elite Training should help smash through that and Argagarg, with Manufactured Truth making up any slack. So I’m going to delay Tech I to midband Onimaru and go for his base early, if Argagarg comes out then I don’t need to worry about Ferocity and Basilisks stopping an early Art of War.

Thoughts

I should have 8g next turn with this patrol. With Rich Earth and no building tax I just need 4g to Tech up so my combined Tech I cost should be at most 4g. A total of 3g lets me play both and still Tech up. I think Galina is a must, and Centaur/Huntress/Tiny Basilisk makes sense after that. Huntress is good vs Soldier tokens and Air Hammers, the latter are pretty scary now I’ve taken base damage. Centaur is more aggressive but also gives me 3x 3g units in deck which isn’t so good for guaranteeing I can spend my gold efficiently.

I think I’ve talked myself into a Huntress+Galina. I probably want to Tech in a Dinosize next turn so I have an answer to Art of War.

Still not sure on my spec for Tech II, hoping to make a more informed decision after I see his next turn.

Oh no, I forgot about the Wisp! I’ll just get rid of the Elemental so I don’t fall to a Stampede, but Arg’s other buffs could easily get Oni killed here too. I can just maxband him to put some Soldiers in the way, though, so it’s fine. Just going for as much initial base damage as I can, here.
