Imp or Jandra, Imp or Jandra… patrol in lookout and he can’t gimp it with StW unless he skips a worker. I have deteriorate next hand but a simple hero in SQL blocks Jandra on its own. Imp hand disruption might just be better. Eh, lets try it. Not like I have 1 drops anyways.

My Thoughts
Jandra is kind of an odd start… Must have been a tough hand. I’m not totally clear on Shax’s deck’s game plan either tbh, Lich’s Bargain + Drakk frenzy into Peace engine maybe? I have a feeling my deck is set up nicely to win here. Starting high pressure here, feel confident I can munch Jandra reasonably easily when I’m drawing into Deteriorate + Graveyard + StW

So I played Jandra with the idea of ““fuckit”” then he played the big vandy+2 turn. Imp would have just been better. But if Trump has taught me anything, it’s to double down on my mistakes.

So I guess he’s feeling frisky instamax Drakk, skipping worker and tech 1… Pretty bold choice. I think I can roll with that though. Lay the graveyard and block up, deteriorate Jandra.

Thoughts
Very nearly killed Garth before I asked myself ““wouldn’t vandy be worse?””. If he teched spells it was probably vandy spells. I think this has the best chance of trading with everything if it comes to that. Hate going so far down on cards, but he did too and I need the skeleton dead to avoid death by nimble fencer. This would be an interesting turn to revisit, but this was probably a bad idea.

Still skipped tech 1…? I guess he wanted to keep Drakk safe, but I’d say you should probably skip War Drums there and tech up. I don’t really have to fear anything from his hand now. I can kill PBR for sure, and then I’m 40% to draw Fencer off Dark Pact. I’m teching Maestro and Star-Crossed Starlet, b/c I’m either teching up this turn or next in all likelihood.
…
Nice, hit the Fencer! Drakk neutralized, I think I have this pretty well in hand with him having no tech 1 yet and me having massive board advantage.
yeah GG. I completely missed the graveyard play. I really shouldn’t go for such bullshit “i know it’s bad” experimental plays in a tournament setting.
