[details=Thoughts]Right now I just want to get enough bodies on the board that he can’t be completely safe sniping Rook with Cala stealth. Looking long-term, since this is the first codex I’ve gone against in a while without any upgrade removal, I’m looking for MoLaC this game. With that in mind, Bird’s Nest for recurring attackers that are hard to kill and Taxman as a cheap unit with decent stats (and a couple abilities that might help at some point) seem good. I doubt he’ll give me a chance for early Tech II, but we’ll see. [/details]
EDIT: I realized that I couldn’t use Forest’s Favor on Spore Shambler, since it already had runes on it. So, I played Rampant Growth instead. Since this didn’t change anything on the board (besides giving Spore Shambler -1/+1) and didn’t change my handsize or gold, I didn’t redo my draw, although I guess I could if it’s still necessary.

This is probably a bad idea, but I don’t see any other that would work as well (as an aside, if anyone has suggestions for alternate plays after the match, I’d love to see them). Teching up and threatening immediate MoLaC is something that he has to respond to. I’m patrolling with Rook to ensure the maximum chance of Tech II staying up (and also to maximize the odds of drawing MoLaC if he dies). I’d love it if Rook lives, since I could probably play MoLaC + Bird’s Nest or something, but getting MoLaC online is priority #1.

Thoughts
I could have tried to break his Tech 2 to keep MoLaC from going up, but my chances weren’t very good. I would have either needed to play Young Treant and drawn into Behind the Ferns (a 25% chance that I didn’t want to take), or maxbanded Calamandra + play Forest’s Favor, then discarded 2 to give her stealth, which leaves me empty-handed. I think I’m better off this way, by wiping his board and trying to base race.

Thoughts
Yeah, I’m probably dead. Going to try to get enough hasty damage to activate MoLaC, but I’m not optimistic. At the very least I can Surprise Attack next turn, and if the Tech Lab stays up I might be able to get a Disguised Monkey in there too (assuming I draw one).

Update for @cstick and @Penatronic: I’m feeling better than when I first got sick Thursday evening, but I did just throw up again an hour or so ago (first time since midnight Thursday night). I think it was just my stomach reacting badly to dinner, rather than a relapse, but I may not be able to take another turn in my ongoing games for a day or two more… At least, I hope it won’t be longer than that.
@EricF, I don’t know how your rules handle situations like this, but feel free to give cstick the win if delaying for me would keep the tournament from running smoothly. I’m expecting to lose anyway, though I’d like to see how the game pans out.
