Thoughts

Killing my tech two really just gave me two options with what was in my hand. I could have summoned Sets at max and cast Speed of the Fox. I would have been able to clear the patrol zone and kill one Corpse Catapult. I went with the other option though because I felt like it would set me up better for the rest of the game, even though I left myself open for a double catapulting. All of the Ninja’s ought to be able to keep them from firing again, if they don’t it’s game, assuming he shoots them both at my base. Not actually sure what his best targets would be.

I really should have catapulted that Tech III building while you did not have Jade Fox. That was a big mistake on my side. While I can’t fully judge the situation, that might have cost me the game. It looked rather decent before that.

Good game. I agree that me playing the Jade Fox was the turning point. I had a Glorious Ninja that I wanted to play instead that turn and I could have killed one of the catapults, but it wouldn’t have given me the long term pressure that Jade Fox did. It is just scary to let you take huge chunks out of my base but I guess as long as there is a little left it is okay. A good learning experience for me as well.

I feel like a lot of things fell into place at good times, whether I meant them to or not. Getting Jade Fox out is obviously one. I’m also really glad I didn’t worker Safe Attacking. I almost played it or workered it several times before, but having it in hand the turn you built the tower was a huge swing in my favor. I had also decided to go Ninjutsu before the match because I hadn’t used it before and I wanted to try to rush as much as I could. I feel like if I had chosen either one of the other specs I wouldn’t have been able to stop the catapults because all you needed was one more turn and I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to play much at all. Good game.

So on that turn I catapulted Tech II instead of Tech III, I was afraid of you getting invisible everything with Fox’s Den. I see now that I was correct. :slight_smile: Still, it might have been the better choice, but I am way less optimistic about that now.
