The more I thought about how he’ll play the next few turns the more I realized it wasn’t likely I would trade well with Twins or another hero. IPN trades best against his beefy stuff, and Reversal lets me get a tech building kill with IPN. So let’s try that out, and grab the tower to nullify (pun intended) the pesky drone ship. [/details]

Of course I can kill both Fargo and Vir by using Reversal here, but giving him a card that helps him draw more tech1 stuff is not my idea of a good time, better to play for a big play in the turn(s) to come. Teching in my tech 2 plan, which is to use Vigor Adept as a ground beatstick, and YLD through the air.
Bummer that I DREW the YLD on the 40% to draw one of the tech 2s, but not a disaster. Next turn I build the tech 2 + make good trades w/ my big board, either spend the excess 2 gold on Safe Attacking + Sensei’s Advice OR Hook + kill Vir and Maxband Grave to try and get a tech building kill. Lots of potentially great options here for me, glad I went with IPN!

Well didn’t turn out to be great options! Still, the IPN was a great choice, will force the best of a bad situation. He’ll almost certainly trade Seer or Nullcraft for IPN here, but at least then I’ve forced a mostly even exchange. Drawing both seers and having the stones to go for that play when I definitely could have killed Vir, bold move! Unfortunately it means delaying my tech 2 on the guaranteed Vigor Adept draw, but I can’t risk that he either 1. Draws Double Time or 2. Makes great trades and kills my tech 2 anyway. So we’ll wait until next turn, try to tech appropriately for what he goes tech 2 in (I think it’s almost certain he drops a chunky blocker and goes to tech 2)!
I have half a mind to tech TPOS next turn if there’s an opening, and try to finish the game that way, though it’s kind of a desperation move, especially with the Adepts as my primary tech choice. I’ll probably end up going Primus + Tech 2 though.

YOLO SWAG, I’m betting he hasn’t gone for Origin Story yet (or if he has, he doesn’t want to spend the gold on it next turn. I’m a little leary of Omegacrons so I’m pushing all in and calling the bluff that he’s going for future fliers. Drew both TPOS for next turn which means I won’t get two of them off, but I think I can get the last 6 damage with a stealthy Vigor Adept or YLD or Rook! This is super risky, but I don’t feel like I’ll win a tech 2 fight here.

Okay Grave did his job, now we have Rook in the back to potentially swing by ignoring patrollers, otherwise I’ll be hoping I get IPN, YLD, or Vigor Adept next hand, and NOT Hidden Ninja.
Success! I’m hoping he’ll be off balance enough from this that I can edge a win in whatever way I need, it’s going to be very close I’m sure though!

Before I take my turn @Jadiel, I think it’s only fair I point something out here: on my turn 2, I actually hit your base to 18 hp. It should currently be at 4hp, then, and not 6 (2 turn 2 to 18hp, 4 turn 5 to 14hp, 10 turn 6 to 4hp). Would that change your turn choices at all?

Sorry for all the mistakes in tracking game state. Even with the spreadsheet, I still find it really easy to miss things or forget them. Hopefully, it didn’t affect the game too much. I’ll try and do better in future!
ETA: Reading your thoughts as the game progressed was really interesting - I think I’ll have to start doing that in my future games. I don’t think I saw my turn 2 tech decisions and play with Vir was particularly bold, but I hadn’t thought about Reversal. If you had cleared my board on turn 2 it would have been a very different game! If that was my plan, perhaps I shouldn’t have summoned Vir until turn 3, and floated 2 more gold. However, as I said, I hadn’t thought about Reversal. Not sure what I was thinking workering Plas turn 1, that seems really dumb in hindsight…
IPN was a super solid choice, and left you in a much better position than any other card you could have teched, I think. I really regretted teching two Double Times, again I didn’t think about Grave’s maxband ability, which I should really have seen. Then I workered one of them which was another error, as it would have given me another potential path to victory in the last couple of turns. I was really scared of Mind Parry Monk, as my plan from turn 4 onwards was to use Prynn to clear your patrol zone and Omegacrons to finish (though I probably should have teched in Origin Story earlier…)
GG WP! I saw the move as bold because had you not drawn both seer or had I killed / snapped vir back, it would have left me a lot of room to build tempo.
Hindsight had I known your base was at 4, I would have teched MPM over vigor adept, and that probably would have won it for me, but i thought I needed 6 so sneaking vigor in with hidden ninja felt like my best bet.
Had you not patrolled geiger though, I had the hand to move seer and vir to get a win last turn!
