Well I haven’t really played much monoGreen, so I’m looking forward to learning it from the otherside of the table.
During our casual games you avoided playing several of the green starter cards: Rich Earth, Spore Shambler, Ironbark Treant. I’d be interested to hear your opnions of those cards in this match up.
Rich Earth - I guess green doesn’t have a tonne of tricks to quickly recover hand size, and finding room (and $) to play this early (when you get the most benefit) might be tough to justify. Plus Green has other ways of getting ahead on cash, (like Merfolk Prospector, Gemscout Owls and Galina) that can all contribute bodies to the board.
Spore Shambler - Seems like a decent T1-2 option to me? I might give it shot and see.
Ironbark Treant - I guess 2 health when attacking is pretty weak to most of purple’s card, especially at $3. Still strong early blocker.

For this matchup specifically, shambler and ironbark are susceptible to Stewardess of the Undone, and thus are usually not worth spending gold on early.
As for a rich earth, assimilate is a major deterrent to anyone looking to play upgrades, and it’s generally just kinda slow where green really wants to keep purple off tech 2
Ah, makes sense. Yeah, I often teched Stewardess in our casual games, but typically Calamandra’s midband applying resist 1 to units made actually playing it an expensive proposition.
Great turn! Impressive to get all that to come together. I’m a little surprised about how resilient Green feels though. Interested to see how you press the advantage here.

Thoughts
Mmm, playing against the ever looming possibility of Origin Story is a bit disconcerting!
