Mrgh, annoying Moxā¦ fighting it in this situation would be a pain, so I guess Iāll just shoot past it. Iām really asking for Origin Story now, but as long as I get enough value out of my heroes before they get unsummoned to justify the cost of my hero minus the cost of the spell, itās fine. Plus, if I pivot to a unit-based strategy, Origin Story will effectively become a dead card clogging up his deck.

Maybe Iāll try using Calypso to bypass the Mox sometime, if I work spells into my strategy. Iām not really sure if Iām getting enough value out of this trade to justify what I investedā¦ itāll depend on how disruptive this double tech break proves to beā¦ but I feel like this is necessary to hold the initiative at this point. Maybe I should try teching Firebats this time? Combined with the Tower, theyād offer solid defense against his troublesome 4 health attackers, and they could take potshots at his patrollers or buildings far more efficiently than Scorch or Fire magic. The alternative, of course, would be to go for Detonate againā¦ but, if the spells get split across 2 turns, thereās a significant risk of Zane being taken out before he can cast the second copy. It is possible for that Plasmodium to attack next turn, so I need to factor that into my defense plans, in which case prioritizing Firebats seems wise. In fact, having beefy patrollers in general might be helpful, as would a reliable source of building damage that can bypass indestructible patrollers. I had steered away from targeted damage so far because of Assimilateās ability to negate Hotter Fire, but perhaps I should reconsider. Alright, Iāll give it a try. That being the caseā¦ should I risk summoning Jaina? If he draws 2 of {Time Spiral, Seer} and one of {Nullcraft, Forgotten Fighter}, he could take the kill and get free levels. Stewardess of the Undone could substitute for the second set or both sets at the cost of the free levelsā¦ but, with both time rune using starter units in play, double Seer is my prediction. On the other hand, if the Plasmodium attacks a patroller and Jaina survives, she could midband and snipe the Plasmodium before it could do any more damage. So, with 4 of 7 cards, letās calculate the odds assuming that none of the dangerous cards have been workeredā¦ and, if my math is correct, itās about an even chance either way. When I consider that Forgotten Fighter is a very popular worker choice, and that the Tower may have encouraged the workering of Nullcraft, however, I think itās worth the risk.

Ugh, Knights of the Conclave are a bad matchup for my sniper strategy, given their $0 cost and resist. But, if I have my current units and Mad Man clear his patrol, a midband Jaina could kill Vir. Problem is, Iād have to skip a worker or risk her dying to Nullcraft. Leaving Vir alive and going double Firebat is an option, as the Tower would protect against Unphase. Jaina could hit the Tech I, ripening it up to be picked off. It is rather tempting to get both Firebats in playā¦ and if Vir maxbands, at least thatāll mean he canāt tech up right away, giving me time to finish off the Tech I. Alright, letās go with that.

Ugh, between the Knight, the Seers, the Plasmodium, and Vir, Iām looking at 5 attackersā¦ Jaina could kill a Seer, and Bloodrage Ogre could join my patrol, but that still leaves Jaina exposed to an attecker. I guess I could trade the Rambaster for a Seer, butā¦ ugh, is that ever a bad value tradeā¦ not to mention, Iād somehow have to get past the Knight to do so, which isā¦ ugh. Iāll probably just have to accept that Jaina is going to die. But, in that case, itās better to have her at 3 attack so a Pladmodium or Knight will die in tradeā¦ though thatās assuming the Tower survivesā¦
