Yes, Zane was levelled to max before Garth died, meaning the 2 free levels have to go to Orpal. Nether Drain does only prevent levelling the drained hero for the turn in which the spell is cast, not until the start of the casting player’s next turn. Free levels are not optional, so Orpal is level 6.

I think zhavier means that because nothing happened where Orpal’s level would have made a difference, Orpal can just be adjusted to level 6 without any other changes, adjustments, or rollbacks.

Yes, I just meant it didn’t have a material affect on the match. Orpal is indeed max level here.

Thoughts

Any hero besides Garth and I think I would have gone for the Tech 2 building. I don't want Lich's Bargain to get in the way of things. The draw could have been better. I don't like having my other 2 Tech 3 units together, but if Drakk stays on the board I should be able to haste Plague Lord, if I don't pull out the 2nd Gunship.

Gunships pulled it out, but I felt like I was on the edge of collapse most of the game. Leaf and Claw, and Blooming Ancient are nasty when they get going. With Necro tokens from Garth and Lich’s Bargain feeding the engine it could have gone sideways quick.
