Thoughts
Here you will find deep insight into my cunning strategy. Yep, definitely know what I’m doing…
Ok, so the plan is to pressure with Rook, since it seems like Purple is more focused on single big units. Birds for additional hard to block attackers, threatening 5 damage with mid-band Rook. Sparring partner for a cheap creature that can also help the attacks get through. Was considering Rambasa Twin for better board presence, but I don’t think I can afford 4 gold when I need to get the birds out and probably level Rook quickly.
Fox Primus in the Lookout slot to avoid Forgotten Fighter.
Looks good, except that you don’t starting teching cards on the sheet until Turn 2. They then get added to your discard before anything else that turn.

If he plays Sensei’s Advice and Safe Attacking next turn, that Primus can attack as a 4/2AA, but if he does that, he won’t be able to build a Tech I next turn. Would be nice to have Mox available, but I guess I just need to play FArgo or Plexus and hope for the best. As for which… I’d rather patrol as Elite to improve my chances of a successful trade, in which case the choice won’t matter if he attacks… but, if he doesn’t, FArgo’s extra health may make the difference between being able to attack once or twice, so I’ll give it a try. I’ll worker Temporal because I have no immediate plans to flood time runes, and it needs 10 just to break even in terms of value… plus, R&D may be an option later. I’ll play Geiger for his quick levelling potential, and to improve the chance of getting value out of FArgo.

Hmm, the potential for Fading Argonaut to swing for 3 with Battle Suits makes it impossible to set up a good defense while it’s around. So instead I trade Primus for it. Play Rook in SL to tank, and Technician the Sensei in case it gets Nullcrafted. Unless I miscalculated something, this should be safe.
Tried to think of a way to keep Primus alive, but with the threat of two extra damage from Suits and Nullcraft, I couldn’t think of a setup that doesn’t result in a favorable trade for the opponent and a possible maxband Geiger. Interesting tactical puzzle.

Rook is threatening both a midband walk-past and a Hook, so there’s no way I can guarantee Geiger’s safety. Then, I’ll just try and make taking the kill more difficult/expensive. Not sure what to tech here, but… I think I’ll go for Stewardesses with an eye for Temporal Distortion.
