well, imo the problem was starting with orpal (that tbh doesn’t do much, had I summoned mox i would understand but otheriwse…) then investing so much gold on him for tbh little effect. Imo delaying tech too didn’t help, exp cuz stewardess. Question: why didn’t you summon somethin and sacrifice it with orpal midband to defuse the glaxx? Should have avoided the tech I destruction.

I played Orpal because I usually play either Vandy or Garth first (because they are better) and I wanted to try doing something different. I also just lost a game (partially) because I failed to deal with a Mox and really, really wanted not to lose for the same reason twice. Turn incoming… !

Thoughts
Blockers beat haste. Firehouse (and Bloodburn) beat skeletons. Rambaster 1-shots Graveyard. Red starter has no patrollers that can survive 2/1 armorpiercing, but I don’t want to trade down attacking into patrollers. Jandra is probably my best play next turn; I’ll also probably have Deteriorate. Twilight Baron beats everything Red has except Kidnapping. Tech Twilight Baron + Bone Collector, maybe going into Carrion Curse?
edit: remembered Pillage can steal my gold. I think I’m okay spending 1g to lock you into a hero early + go down a card?

Options: Lv. 3 Vandy + Deteriorate the dog. You can’t quite kill Vandy out of Squad Leader, because you can’t afford both Scorch and midband on Drakk. But you can make me spend a lot of resources protecting her for the rest of the game. We both stay at 5 cards, but I’m up a gold!
Jandra or Thieving Imp: leaves you with a gold to steal, and two units + midband Drakk for 7 total attack. Yeeeaah no.
Bone Collector is a more dangerous Kidnapping target than Hooded Executioner, but on the other hand it lets me attack while leaving a skeleton on defense. Vs Jaina would definitely take Twilight Baron instead.

Slightly concerned that I may be drawing both Tech Is on turn 3 at higher-than-chance rates.
There’s not much I can do to play around Kidnapping, so let’s hope you don’t have it.
If I had teched Hooded Executioner (and still drawn Deteriorate) I could have killed Drakk. Something to think about for future games? (also if I had drawn Sacrifice the Weak in my original hand)
