Thoughts

Okay, my basic plan here is to go Truth/Blood until I get Commanders in play, then switch to Truth/Anarchy for Sanatoriums and switch up my Tech Lab as needed to replace whichever cards get removed. The backbone of my build will be Crashbarrows, with Dreamscape/Reteller and Mirrors to get more 'barrows. The question is how to survive until Tech II. Bloodburn/Dreamscape is a strong combo, but not against haste. Maybe I could use Mirrros with Rambaster for tech suppression? My starter spells likely won’t be effective against Finesse’s efficiency, so a Quince opening might be viable, but the issue is, can I really afford to be messing with Mirrors right out the gate? Doesn’t seem likely… but regardless, Bloodburn should be helpful, so I guess that’s a good place to start.

Thoughts

Illusion units won’t be effective against Neutral starter spells, and Dreamscape opening doesn’t seem realistic, but taxmen seem like a good counter to Fencers. No patroller will survive a boosted Oni, so I’ll dump cheap units to fuel Bloodburn and hope my Tech I survives. Putting the Dog in Technician because he’s the greater long-term threat, and I want the card draw more than the gold.

Thoughts

I’m expecting Fencers now, and between those and boosted Oni, having 3 attack patrollers seems prudent. Here’s hoping he doesn’t have Timeless Messenger or Spark in hand… Gearing up for tech II, normally I’d start with Dreamscape and Macciatus to bolster my patrollers and increase the effectiveness of Bloodburn and Musketeer, but against Finesse, I think more aggression is necessary, so I’ll go straight for Crashbarrows. I’m also worried about Art of War and may need to go for Free Speech if Oni maxbands.
