OK, that’s a lot of beef on his side, and I’ll have to break through to that Prospector as early as possible. So Bird’s Nest seems like a good choice, which means Rook. That’s fine, Green doesn’t have much in the way of hero hate. Fox Primus is just too expensive, I tend to think of her as an easy worker (especially with no real need for anti-air). Classic start, Rook plus Savior Monk to keep him standing. Hero + Rampant Growth could kill Rook.
Hand : sshambler,vtree,ytree,riche+rampant g
Tech: g-owl, tiny bas
Thoughts : damn, he spotted my rampantg. it was quite obvious actually, so shame on me.gowl and then a circle of life for an early tech II units. baislisk to fend off overgrown rooks. So far no heroes, getting an econ adv and see how it goes. whiffing the basilisk was bad [/details]

No hero on his side, I assume to avoid feeding Rook, which is a good move. I thought of Sensei’s Advice to force a kill on the Treant, but that’s not a good use of the card. Made more sense to build up, get Safe Attacking out of the deck, be ready for hopefully a Sparring Partner. The Twins come next, and either Entangling Vines or Thunderclap to hopefully create an advantage.
Hand : vtree,itreant,spore,ramp,gowl
Tech: great basil, circleofl
Thoughts : i really do not like where this is going, my gut says is going downhill. I have the gold but not the cards necessary for a decent counter. Or not. hmmm, maybe i can mae use of the shambler. Definetly. i ca turn my big econ into power. Suddenly i like my odds better [/details]

OK, so that turn sucked. I didn’t plan to go for Tech II so early but I had the money handy and not much to do with it. Midori…eh, not a big deal, I think, I’ll have Snapback next turn. Of course I want the Bird’s Nest out ASAP, that’ll help a great deal.
Hah, this is the first time I ever built Heroes Hall, and I never realized it doesn’t go live until next turn. Grave is sitting brooding on the sideline.
imho, things went bad after my shambler play mostly cuz u did non develope your rook play. It did not atatck for too long, and you did not bring in birds either. Imo u took a too passive stance, letting me build a board and making my deck extra thin, since everything is still there from the beginning, even the wisp. The only death on my side was the suicidal panda.
I tried to get the Bird’s Nest, just didn’t draw it when it was useful. I considered that plan for Turn 2, but was worried about draining my hand too much. The extra boost from the Shambler was unexpected, that tipped things in a major way.
