I think I’ll just resign here, I don’t have ways to deal with those buildings quickly enough, not since that awful Turn Five. I was considering killing Quince with a fetched Pig that turn, it would’ve meant skipping a worker but probably the better decision.

In hindsight, yeah, taking out Quince would have been a good play there, and IMO worth skipping the worker, agreed. For my part, I should have invested in some form of stealth detection, either a Tower or Eyes of the Chancellor. GG overall, the Garth/Bashing combo was more intimidating (no pun intended) than I expected, but I think Finesse is harder to defend against overall, just because it’s so gold-efficient.

Yeah, it’s got some nice threats, but it’s not obvious how it can come back from behind. Especially when you copy the worst possible Discipline II unit! Want to go again?

I think I could have won that last game with Bashing II if I hadn’t mucked up, but it looks like that spec is pretty unforgiving on mistakes. I’ll go for a more standard Vandy opener, not sure what I want for Tech II but Bashing could be better as a Tech Lab utility spec. Blooming Vandy would be cool, but midband Grave + Grappling Hook kills her easily. I’ll set her up behind Older Brother.
