Lucky me! my next hand was p dead if u summoned some units, u would have safely rebuilt tech II.
Infact iplanned of building surplus to get board adv.
Another game? do u wanna switch decks? Btw i would like somethin with Disease as main, but i can’t find anything (oopen to suggestions)
(if u do not mind, i’d switch too ;))
I read your mp about Wandering Mimic, and yeah it’s a very good card indeed !
I planned to use Potent Basilisks (untargetable, may destroy Hotter Fire) and Dothram Horselord (I thought that if you spent money on spells, upgrades and buildings you won’t be able to turn him back against me, but I then realized that spells could just hit all my other units/heroes and clear my board except him so you would get it like that).
Potent Basilisks + Wandering Mimic would have been better, for sure ! Green really loves hasty units
About Disease, IDK. IMO the current meta is either about hero-based strategies (mostly Vandy actually) and/or quick unit spam (abusing Graveyard and Flagstone Garrison). Big units, ultimate spells and upgrades aren’t that often seen.
Disease is awesome against big units and heroes on late game. IMO, Finesse has a very good synergy with Disease against unit spam with Discord, Two Steps look awesome on a Plague Spitter and Harmony would compensate quite well the problem of Disease to feed the Scav and Technician slots with fresh blood each turn. Strength would offer you a very good protection against early hero rushes with Boulder, Mythmaking sounds great with Jandra and in some matchups Rook + Birds could be an even better option than River + Two Steps on the early game.
[Disease]/Strength/Finesse has a good access to card management (Graveyard) and a lot of synergies…
But IMO you’ve to play around Jandra + Mythmaking with either Rook or River on the early game and to either go to a Doubling Barbarbarian + Two Steps strategy or to control the field with Orpal + Tech II Disease + runes until Death and Decay arrives
Yeah I’m ok for another game with [Bash]/Bal/Growth ! Choose your build and I’ll play my T1
Ahah thanks
Actually I was very lucky to be almost always P1 in tournaments, Mono-Blue is incredibly tricky to play as P2 !
What I love in codex is that every single PbP match is open to read and often writen with comments and thoughts, so it’s very easy to see how very good players (for example Frozenstorm and Marto for Mono-Blue) play and win matchs
The most difficult to understand IMO is that you may get your board wiped every turn as Mono-Blue, but playing around it with patrol zone bonuses can make the game !
In T1 I don’t like to patrol in technician slot because drawing 1 more often makes your reshuffle and get your tech I units later :x
Or I do it when I only drew 4 cards at the end of T1 to get my full hand back
