Oh, definitely, but also for specific matchups, itā€™s easier to be P1 or P2 sometimes, because the starter cards and heroes can counter each other in ways that encourage playing some of them and not playing others, and the extra income or P1 tempo advantage can be more or less helpful depending on what youā€™re trying to do.

No Tigerā€¦ well, I need to stop Calamandra before she can Feral Strike in tech II units, and if Iā€™m lucky, I can leverage my other Kidnapping to deal with whatever tech II unit might get played next turn. Iā€™m lucky it and Archery are in hand next turn, but at this rate, Iā€™m not sure when/if Iā€™ll be able to afford a Tech II of my ownā€¦ Also, Iā€™m realizing I should really be trying to keep as many tech 0 units available as possible, excepting Jandra, for use with Drakkā€™s abilties and haste-granting spells.

Ouch! Maybe holding onto some starter spells isnā€™t such a bad ideaā€¦ although teching in Hooded Executioners is probably the better approach. I should probably give up on the idea of using Present units against Fireā€¦ so, Blood or Necromancy? Since I already have invested in haste, going for Necromancy is betterā€¦ probably? I suppose Skeletal Lords would make the Skeletons more resistant to Fire damageā€¦ unless Hotter Fire makes an appearanceā€¦ Or, with Blood, I could try Land Octopus. Feels like an act of desparation, butā€¦ I am feeling kind of desperate. Maybe try it and see what happens? Hmmā€¦ considering Necromancy tech II units all have 3-4 health, Iā€™m worried that theyā€™d be too vulnerable to hasted Hotter Firebirds, so Iā€™ll go for Blood. Land Ocsopus, Crashbarrow, and Shoddy Glider donā€™t need to worry about taking Fire damage.
