That’s fair. I’m thinking more about what the spec as a whole brings to the table over the course of the game. Blood brings haste and frenzy, hence I see it as more about sudden, powerful attacks, which is what I mean by aggressive. Whereas Discipline brings to the table Mind-Parry Monk to protect the Warp Gate Disciples from things like Ember Sparks and Versatile Style to protect against things like Hotter Fire and Molting Firebird, which is what I mean by defensive.

Ouch. My biggest concern here is about a hasty Ogre Recruiter, so I’ll guard against that and hope that my Tech II survives. There are risks with both playing and not playing a backline unit or hero. I think the safest option is to just play Archery and avoid risk of Pillage, however.
