Thoughts

Considering I don’t need Max’s attack to double tech break and have two argonaut defending me ill see what I draw. There’s a couple things I’d play in place of the argonaut in my hand if I drew them

I’ve had a few games where Abomination shrinks Present II’s main units enough to cause problems, but if Prynn’s also around to bounce or Undo them it’s not such a winner.

From a spectators perspective it all came down to that wrong patrol with Vandy in the eye of Prynn with undo. At least I wasn’t able to come up with a case where dwarddd could have broken through these two units of yours without undo and break the sanatorium. And then with a second abo in hand and probably a Vandy fetched DP would have yielded a 60% chance to attack with a second abomination together with a terras q, which is just so incredibly awesome… I really love this combo!
But with the free levels from Vandy everything fell apart…

Yep, without Vandy patrolling I cannot see a way through - Abomination is so huge and soul stoned gorgon really could only be Undoed without trading awfully. And there I was the turn before wishing I had already drawn the Undo!

GG @charnel_mouse had you pulled off the Terras Q thing I would have been in total shock (and losing for sure), I was already scared enough of carrion crows, abominations and ghouls honestly I hadn’t considered you using a third spec’s unit

@dwarddd what’s your take on the purple nerfs so far? It seems like it had a huge impact on you thinking about past but in the end past obviously didn’t matter. But what’s been your feeling about it and in your thought processes?

@zango Honestly, the nerfs had v little impact on decisions in this one - I chose Past for cheap things that trade well with Disease, whereas both Hyperion and Tricycloid trade poorly with Gorgon and abom regardless of the current nerfs :person_shrugging: as you’ll see on T3 I actually started in Present anyway and then switched to Golgurt after seeing Disease.

Also for your midgame comment on delaying tech 2: mostly I just didn’t think I’d keep a tech 2 up without going for Argonauts and couldn’t get a float to play Argonaut turn 3 and tech up
