Think

And here we are, at the true knife edge. If I survive this turn with my tech 3 intact, I win. If I survive without my tech 3ā€¦ I have a chance. But above allā€¦ my survival is not certain. There is a very real possibility that they can find 2 base damage from hand.

Very difficult decision here what to use versatile style on (canā€™t wait for codex 2 when it does every option instead of picking one (this is not a joke, it really does all of them)). Iā€™m going to bank on them probably not having teched any jaina spells before their last reshuffle.
Eight teched cards, Iā€™ve seen five (lobber, firebat, firebat, bird, fire) and Iā€™m going to assume thereā€™s a second lobber, kidnapping, and one more card, probably bloodlust. Scorch has probably already been workered, so I think I live here, just. If thereā€™s a crash bomberā€¦ I die. But thatā€™s how it goes.

Very well teched and excellent played. It was probably one of my most challenging games, and until turn 8 I was sure that I will lose. I hope I gave you a bit a deja vu on your last finals with Bansa and similar decks. That inspired my play.

@Bryce_The_Riceā€™s turn!

Ahā€¦ if you were holding both those cards then no play I couldā€™ve made was correct. I see.

Well played then. I shouldā€™ve listened to my gut that you were going Firebirds and put the other lizard in.

prob with Lizard is that he could still attack. He would lose the unit, but the dmg to base/tech would go anyway.

Certainly, but lizard means a bird only gets one attack.
Itā€™s also very efficient defence, which I sorely needed.

Yes, I was afraid of lizzards. So this was not the base plan. But until turn 4 you killed both firebats, so I had to change the strategy. I hoped you are relying on lizzards and I can constantly break tech 2. With a safe maxband drakk I threw both in. But well, I did not drew them for 2 rounds and could not use dp due to your board presence. So was lucky that drakk survived and no lizzard was played.

Birds with the tower would have been even more annoying.
