Thoughts
Lots of things kill me here. The best I can do is clear everything, then try and have access to Appel Stomp next turn to clear damaging patrollers. I can tech double stomp now and double R&D next turn, then surplus draw + Geiger midband give me two looks.
GG. My big mistake was back on turn 4. If I had maxbanded Troq, I could have taken out your Tech 2, and I would have been in a commanding position. I clearly didn’t spend enough time thinking that one through (checking timestamps, you can see I posted it about 15 minutes after your turn 4).
To any curious spectators: I checked out my next turn draws, and even without the Shoddy Glider, I was still dead to Commander + Bugblatter. I drew R&D off of Geiger midband after the surplus draw, and that drew me into Appel Stomp, but I didn’t hit the second Appel Stomp or R&D to keep going (or Temporal Distortion to get Hyperion for another draw). Without the second stomp, I can’t get through the patrol zone without dying.
