An experiment, I guess. I hope it sticks and we can stop discussing it for a while.

Think

It’s a shame I have wither in my opening hand, and can’t go for a turn 2 mox disable. I will have to wait to strike, but hopefully I can put it out of the way before it achieves too much value.
More importantly, I didn’t have get to worker fruit ninja turn 1, so I might lose. We should be able to worker it turn 2 though, so hopefully not too much value lost.
Think I’ll go for birds to dissuade nullcraft.

This is a little awkward. I won’t be able to keep up with Bryce at tech 1, but since I’m P1 I can’t speed-tech either. And I really don’t want to feed heroes to Rook, so I need something else do with my gold. Weirdly, I think I prefer Argo to Rambasa here.

That float is interesting. It allows all sorts of Fencer shenanigans, so I still can’t play a hero, but I do feel safe preparing to tech up.
Alternatively, Bryce might be thinking of an early maxband Rook. That could be hard to deal with, but it’s sure expensive.

I’ll admit, Argonaut is a strong choice here. I also patrolled incorrectly, but not that incorrectly. We can remove Mox, get some birds, and wait to tech. It does mean I’m giving away tech lead, but I’m also developing my board quite strongly. I just hope I’m not making a huge mistake and opening myself to hyperions.

I’m making a risky play here, and gambling on them not having teched Now!. My prediction is that they have: 2x Sparring Partner, 1x Argonaut, 2x Garrison, 1x Cadet. We’ll see if I’m right later. I probably should do more research on my opponent’s teching habits, but I never do.

Think

I realise that in changing what I was doing last turn, I didn’t redo my patrol to make more sense. I definitely should not have had bird in squad leader when I decided to put grounded guide backline. This error has certainly cost me a lot of potential damage.
Moving on, I will destroy the tech 2 over the tech 1 here, because they have no shortage of tech 0 units to proc garrisons (I assume anyway), and I would rather prevent rune spreading at this point. I opted to go with the wither line over the max rook line knowing I might lose rook, because it leaves me with a more diversified board for better attacks next turn.
I don’t have a good strategy for dealing with nullcraft though, and I suspect that will ultimately be my downfall.

Losing the Tech 1 would’ve been worse IMO. As it is I can cycle for Now! + Sentry and finally get rid of Rook.

Ended up not needing Fargo for the cycle, so I’ll just float a bit.

@Bryce_The_Rice’s turn!

Last game of the round @Bryce_The_Rice looks not great, any outs in that technician draw?

Yeah you would have to get extremely unlucky to lose at this point, and I don’t see it happening reasonably. It’s certainly over.

GG WP!
Any thoughts about the nerfs? The Bird’s Nest one didn’t really come into play, but the Battle Suits one made a difference IMO.
