Okay, now that the Imp has avoided damage, let’s try to provoke him into paying to level up Geiger. It seems like a tempting play from his perspective, so maybe I should go for Nether Drain. I’m more concerned with my immediate options, however… if I create a 1/1 unit, I’m inviting Nullcraft to kill it for free, but there’s no unit to kill with Deteriorate and I can’t play Skeletal Archery without it being taken by Assimilate afterwards… better to either worker it or save it for an emergency. Moreover, Skeleton armies are particularly vulnerable to Rewind, so I should probably only plan on using them as extra card draws. Okay, Archery and Graveyard are priority workers, and I’ll focus on being able to dump the units in my hand to hastily attack if they get bounced. Maybe my best bet is to just build a Tower to protect the Haunt. That would likely mean the Imp survives, which wouldn’t be a bad thing. I guess I’ll go for it, but that also means I can’t expect him to buy levels, which means Nether Drain would be premature… but also, I can’t afford a Tech I, so I should really pick some spells, with Bloodlust likely as my best immediate option.

Not that there’s much for him to do here… so I just need to stall and hope for the best. Let’s build another tech building to take some heat off of my base. The question is, what to spec into? Okay, this is a disaster… I drew 3 of my Blood spells on the turn after Drakk was killed. I want to kidnap the Rememberer, but I won’t have access to either of them this cycle. My only option is to use Doom Grasp before it can do its thing. Can I target Geiger and use bonus levels to fetch a Crashbarrow? No, not enough gold for that.

I don’t think there’s a need to rush, as FrozenStorm was considerate enough to arrange for this game to continue in parallel with the round 4 games. At least, please don’t pressure yourself to carelessly rush to post turns that you’d otherwise spend more time thinking about… I’d feel guilty if you did, after my own circumstances caused a 4 day delay.

Btw, I think you need to pay $2 to get Vir to midband even after the free levels from killing Garth, as his level split is 1-5-7.
