Think

Feels really bad to get all my utility cards in my opening hand. I really didn’t want to worker any of them except smoker, but I’m really going to need early offense to push through the wall and beat him before tech 2.

Pretty standard turn 2. Had to make sure I didn’t float gold in case of pillage. Sad I didn’t get any techs on redraw.

looks like i lucked out with a T3 whiff. ill take what i can then.

looks like i dont have to worry about river spells for a while.

expecting some max rook, birds, earthquakes.

if they have double fencer, two taxmen results in unstoppable rook gettting free levels. gg 7, worker 6, fencer 4, fencer 2, fencers trde with taxman, rook walks past taxman, kills rook, max rook 1,

that’s tough to break.

i can drop mad man as well to stop the single patroller unstoppable?

eh, that’s not worth it.

i think it’s an expensive trade for max rook, so let’s go with double taxmen, get all that value, and deal with max rook later.

tech wise, grave blocks molac and flagbearer blocks ancient. at least ancient will get swoll. let’s tech an SA and BA.

okay, so i have to respect the earthquake

option 1
trade everything, zane and rambaster break tech 1

option 2
rook, bb, got, got, zane trade with rook
summon arg

i definitely like option 2 better. but the risk of sensei’s advise just taking out zane is real. so id rather tech up while i have the space.

tech a second ancient and something else that i can use right away.

unfortunately, i think birds nest is best. hopefully i dont draw it right away.

bummer no ancient, but that’s actually not a bad hand. let’s me flood the board and prepare for some ancients next turn.

Thinkerino

Hmm, tough decision on this turn. Could kill Arg, ancient, rook, tech 2, or mad man…
I decided that killing ancient is top priority. Just can’t let it get out of control, especially if he’s holding surprise attack, which seems likely. Now, he can’t play that and another ancient. He’s pretty likely to just try and stick another ancient here, so I’m going to continue to need ways to get my dragon past. Teching versatile style juuuust in case he decides to play a cheeky molac. You can never be too careful.

i think i need to get arg out of here, and this might be my only chance. tech up, wall against fliers well. sensie’s advise or grappling hook make it tough, but this is the best i can do.

Snapback

Big think

Unfortunate that I have to use snapback now, at the beginning of a new cycle. Now he knows I won’t have it later. But keeping his heroes down will be of great use to me in the long run. With only 2 cards in hand he won’t be able to do too much growing, so we might have a chance yet. Unless it’s suprise attack, of course. In which case I probably lose (as always).

Couple thoughts

  1. Zane isn’t available. He hasn’t had an upkeep to “cook” in the hero zone (happens on my next upkeep)
  2. So using SnapBack would just return rook to the field.
  3. Blooming Ancient gains a rune from my hero arriving due to SnapBack.
  4. I’ll assume your rook is a 2/4 in the tech a slot

I don’t think that’s right @codexnewb. Snapback doesn’t have anything written saying that. The only time snapback returns the same hero iirc is if all three heroes are in play. Card doesn’t mention anything about them being flipped over in command zone

So BA does get a rune, but it’s Zane not Rook for next turn for ya

Blooming Ancient does get a rune, that’s true.
Rook is a 3/4 because of training grounds.

Zane is available to Snapback. The only thing that stops a hero from being available for snapback is if hes already in play.
