Thoughts
Bottom-decking my Mimics is not great, and I’m really low on hand size now. Only Arg and birds are on the attack this turn, at least, and there’s no longer a Tech III to get Oathkeeper out to sideline everything, so at worst Argagarg buffs both the birds to take out my Tech II. Long-term, I think I’ve blown this by going for the Tech Lab too many times at the expense of board control.
… Yep, all Tech II units in hand, so this turn could be painful.
You killed a 3/5 Grappler with a 4/6 Rook and a 0/1 Wisp?
I midbanded Midori, so the Wisp was 1/2.

Forgot to draw from the surplus, but hey. Well played! I’d completely forgotten about the possibility of legendary rush, if you hadn’t had to doom my Bird so early I would’ve been quickly flattened.
Well played. Balance is the natural enemy of my build, and you made very good use of it to keep me from getting out of hand. That was some serious dedication to Tech Lab denial.

I thought I’d blown the game by losing board control to deny it so often! You had some great comebacks, I was worried about Metamorphosis when I saw Vandy but those Soul Stone plays were really nasty.
I’d just like to point out that @charnel_mouse had a lethal line back on T9 (the very turn you mentioned you thought you’d blown the game
):
Get paid - $10
Fairie Dragon trades with Water Elemental
Arg and bird kill Galina
Midori to midband - $6
Dinosize on Midori - $2
Midori, Rook and buffed Wisp walk under birds and hit base for 15 and lethal!
Drawing Dinosize is always a good chance to evaluate whether you can finish the game

4 from Rook, 8 from Midori, 1 from the Wisp, what am I missing?
Dinosize gives +6 ATK, so Forest Favored Midbandori swings for a whopping 10!

I’d been misremembering it as +4/+4 all game
definitely time to install Autocard.

Well, never having access to my Tech Lab when I needed it made it hard for me to really capitalize on any breathing room I managed to claim. In retrospect, I should have been more careful about my patrollers what with the sneaky Rook and Mimic, and by doing so I might have managed to bring out something much nastier than a Soul Stone… But, more likely I think it would have just made you commit a few more resources to continue the destruction, as you seemed to always have a trick or two up your sleeve.

Nah, I tagged you about my loss on post #27. Every turn after that was just for fun.
