Bomber’s peace engine has been the scourge of this tournament. I’m not sure what’s my best option for dealing with it, other than try and finish the game before tech 2. I guess Tanks into Gunships might work?
Anyway, I’ll start with some pressure, then probably drop Haunt and HH next turn. I like Taxman better than Tiny B for dealing with Cadets/Bombers, and I’ll keep Gargoyles in mind as well.
Jav goes in SQL to discourage Nullcraft.
Vandy should survive anything but an (expensive) Forgotten Fighter on my Jav, which I could punish with Haunt unless Bomber skips Tech 1. Sounds safe enough for me.
I’m considering teching an early Nature Reclaims to deal with Battlesuits, or just have it floating in my deck in preparation for Garrisons. We’ll see.

I can get through Fargo with either StW or Det, then snag lvls off Oni by trading Zane. I’ll just DP first to see what I can drop alongside it.
Still not ready to commit to a tech 2 plan, so I’ll grab a Soul Stone to buff Taxman, and Garg as a way to snipe important backline targets (thinking of Drakk especially).

Didn’t draw any worthwhile units, so I’ll save up on cards and just play an extra hero. I think it’s better pressure than Graveyard at this point.
I would love to maxband Vandy and tech up next turn to threaten a 3-hero Meta, but I’m not at all sure I’d be free to do so safely.

Looks like the pressure I’ve been applying is working - I haven’t even maxbanded Vandy yet, and Bomber has already towered up. I don’t actually need to tech Meta to threaten it, so I’ll tech in an alternative win condition (I’ll have to watch out for Kidnapping though…).
Not teching up just yet, instead I’ll drop some units for extra pressure and set up another reshuffle. Also leaving Vandy at midband for now to allow for a tech kill using buffed Gargoyle.

I can clear the board without actually losing any guys (leaving only an unbuffed Mox), all while teching up and also breaking Bomber’s tech 2. I’m practically guaranteed to lose Midori, but I’m still threatening a 2-hero Meta with Zane.
I’m kinda expecting Bomber to respond with maxband Oni, so Banefire seems like a reasonable tech choice (plus he can free Terras Q). OTOH, I don’t have a lot of sacrificable units… so how about SoFK as a way to circumvent Tower? I’ll be playing with fire with my base health, considering all of Drakk’s tricks, but if I can keep Bomber on the back foot I think I could pull it off.
Incorrect, the cadet was doomed at that point and was a 4/4+tower, so taxman dies. Also the scav gold arrives, then the taxman steals the gold, not that it matters in this case.
