Rook is a good boy. He wouldn’t hurt anyone.
He only hurts me, is what I’m learning.

@migohunter 2-3 @Caralad
Yay! I won this matchup!
Unga bunga Menelker damage
Oh no… I lost this matchup
5.0 normal gobbled up by rook K and then hit by almost silent CMB… unluckers
6.0 throw outsped… FeelsBadMan
Only slight salty, GGs dude
dude, did your win or lose?
it’s not clear.
Ye I screwed up thanks for pointing out my mistake
Caralad vs @Castanietzsche
Caralad wins 3-0
- I’d like to thank fluffiness for kicking my ass enough to the point I’m fairly comfortable
- MA beats out Q #feelsbadman
- Midori is so reliant on drawing good cards. I never feel in control.
JonnyD vs @vengefulpickle
1 HP vs 1 HP, but I took that RAW Beast Unleashed to setup a Jaina checkmate.
Was getting destroyed for the first half, but managed to win some Key combats and set up for silent Deathstrike Drugs.
I lost early game to RAW Ks, but drew tons of Aces of Qs to secure neutral. I think if I didn’t have the insane draws this match pickle would’ve won. He played a lot better that game for sure, but that’s the nature of Yomi sometimes.
JonnyD wins 3-0!
GGs pickle, the games were really close health total wise. Gloria-Sets + Jaina - Troq were single digits and I had less than 20 in Grave - Vendetta. + Absurd Ace draws.
I have forgotten somewhat how to play this game. In my match against Castanietzche I had forgotten between Patriot Mirror or Positive Spin which one was which and chose the wrong one. Then I basically sort of forgot how to play Quince altogether for the rest of the game. I kept forgetting that Oni attaches the A after hitting with it and wondering why I was taking so much damage off of safeish setups. I forgot Zane’s Q speed (I thought it was 3.0). Also Nietzche, you put the matchups in wrong I won the Menelker game and lost the Vendetta game.
Perhaps it truly is time to just fade away.
Remember when I turn-1 threw with Lum and pumped with JQK because I thought Lum’s innate triggered off throw damage as well? I’m glad I’m not the only one to have brain-farts like that.
How emBEARrassing…
ArthurWynne vs Legion
I draw really well and get to play aggro-grave, building up a significant life lead (80 vs 36 or so at the most I think). But Legion outplays me in the mid game and I mismanage my hand, from 9 HP he almost brings it back. Finally a Q outspeeds a K and I take the win.
Almost the reverse happens. An inconclusive early game leaves Grave with a significant life lead and he hits me with wakeup TPoS, taking me to 12 HP. I hit Mistress’ Command on the following turn and begin to bring it back with the vortex, getting to 2 vs 19, but spending my cards to recur aces leaves me at low hand and I fail to navigate his Qs.
Legion said it best - God Hand. I have a bunch of 9s, 10s and good throws, a Queen for good measure, and I draw into silent BU before we’ve played 10 turns.
Troq gets the better of the early game, beating out 7s with slow J and normal straights, but only gets one block attached. Then deGrey begins to draw absolutely insane stuff. I had 5-6 cards in hand for most of the game but it didn’t stop me from finding all the throws I needed, three kings, a bunch of pairs and aces, and Pilebunker/6 to close it out. Insane.
Final Result 3-1 to Arthur Wynne , and I breathe a sigh of deep relief that we never got to game 5, which was
.
Good games, @Legion! I can only regret that luck was such a huge factor.
Coffeetime 3 - 2 mysticjuicer
Got absolutely steamrolled. Was way too attack heavy, ran into Grave blocks and got blown up after Grave built a hand.
Don’t think I even won a single combat reveal, got absolutely murdered.
Edged it out with 4 life after miraculously throwing every single A block, and then AAing twice in a row in the end to win.
Won early combat reveals, didn’t have K’s to take advantage of KD and ended up lucking out raw AAAing Troq after KD
Playing aggressively led to an early lead. Midori went dragon with a clutch of K’s and Q, luckily for me I didn’t have throws, which forced me to slow J which ended up working
GGs @mysticjuicer
@mysticjuicer I think you’re going to have to reevaluate the “unwinnable” Rook vs arg MU
I just rewatched Rooks vs The World and back then juicer said it was pretty close to even, IIRC he might’ve even thought it was slight Rook advantage!
