RACE #3: zhavier (Mono Black) vs. EricF ([Bashing]/Necro/Demon)

@EricF

We meet again on the field of battle. Are you trying to put to rest the ridiculous claims that bashing is terribad?

Well, if this is the only combination where Bashing is playable, I think that still counts as terribad.

I have no idea if this will work, but let’s find out together!

I would much rather it not morph at this time. I teched the wrong thing though, in retrospect.

There was a halfway decent chance you didn’t have messenger :frowning:

So, I think your plan is working pretty well so far, considering how much I had to spend, it may very well have crippled me.

In fact, it was exactly 50% to have it or not. Failing that, I at least had a re-draw to hit Wither.

I am going to concede here. So my mistake at the beginning was having shadow blade instead of nether drain, which would have been more effective at simply stopping metamorphosis. Then last turn I played skeletal archery for what amounts to no good reason, and I had sac the weak, which would have been a better result.

Now even if you don’t have metamorph in hand, there is little I have in hand to deal with all the damage you can now bring to bear, so GG! well played as always :smiley:

GG! As you can see, I was trying for early Metamorph, but your efforts scuttled that option. Luckily my Fairy Garthmother was there to save the day.

I will also say, Bashing did little to aid your efforts, though the threat of a metamorphed troq and subsequent final smash seems pretty good.

The neutral starter helped quite a bit, but without a window to Metamorph, Troq didn’t need to come out and play. And I didn’t make it to Tech II, which would be Bashing with this setup.
