So, balance can trash my buildings and stop my onslaught of hasty units. He might try for metamorphosis. I think token spam could be good for this matchup, but I have to go down on cards to stop him from killing Garth. Technically could still maybe kill garth but skip tech 1 and go down on cards which I am ok with. And then there is sparkshot, which means my stuff dies but Vandy is not patrolling and I get something for their deaths, rather than the nothing one of them would provide… Eh, I can afford to skip Scav to maybe have javelineer live.
I just realized that, although I paid for a worker last turn, I forgot to move a card from my hand into the worker zone. Is it okay if I just retroactively worker the card I intended to?

This turn, since he went down on cards, I got the opportunity to really put the screws to his hand. If he has StW, he can kill Vandy here, but he’ll have to either skip Tech 1 to midband Garth or leave Garth open as easy pickings for Lobber.
Darn, he got my Lobber with his Imp. Oh well, it’s not a huge setback. The plan is to go worker + Lobber + max Vandy + Heroes’ Hall next turn, then on turn 5 I’ll have enough for Hero + Metamorphosis + Lobber/Worker.

GG. I feel like you drew really well this game. T3 StW and Deteriorate fucked me hard, and then drawing your single copy of Free Speech on turn 5 was the nail in the coffin.
I was actually not expecting free speech on T5. And looking at your T6, you could have used Deteriorate and maybe summon skeletons ($4 seems like a lot) but you still would not have been able to leverage dark pact. Flying Midori would have sucked a little though, and I probably would have had to completely rethink my patrol. Lobbers are such a pain to deal with when Im using skeletons to chump block. And Jaina’s Sparkshot.
I played T3 badly though, instead of a skeleton I could have had a Bone Collector and Garth for Card draw. Sac and Deteriorate was a good draw for what you had done, but it is always a risk against black to leave something with 1hp. I was always looking at my skeletons as dieing to deteriorate.
