I was utterly stomped here. I didn’t have a great opening hand and then a couple poor decisions meant I lost all of my health SO FAST.
This was super grindy. I didn’t trigger Dominance consecutively very many times but I was able to keep throwing DeGrey’s good cards into the discard so that helped A LOT. Eventually I get the loop up and running and close out the game.
Perfect against the ninja! It helped a lot that I started with 2 aces in hand and Xiba had an awkward opening hand with Setsuki. I was able to guess right in the beginning and then control their hand with Bare Your Soul and close out the game in relatively commanding fashion. At the end, I decide to Mistress’ Command rather than take dominance because I figure I can set up lethal. The only possibility that could prevent that is if they had a joker in hand, which they did. I dodged it into another dominance and now Setsuki is one hit away from losing. They dodge on KD to avoid walking into the dodge I played to avoid Ninpo Flash. We dodge again and then Xiba attacks into my third doge. I play a throw and close out the game.
Welcome to the Zane-boree! I fully expected to lose this one because Zane can do tons of damage. I lose half my life in two combats so I’m pretty spooked. I manage to joker a significant amount of damage and now Zane has used up three jacks. I get the vortex up and running after some false starts and then I’m able to keep it running until Zane dies. I think the last 2 or so combats were actually soft checkmates.
GGs Xiba! I’ll never forget the time you perfected me and then made a topic in the forums about it! You’re a delight and I like our matches. I apologize for the cruel sadism of the Nox Oracle!
