Rule 1: DO NOT GET HIT BY DSD.
Rule 1: DO NOT GET HIT BY TPOS. Still need to rely on the last Dragonheart being in the ~12 card deck and not the ~5 card hand to close this one out.
WP man, all close games. Always fun to play against some less meta characters!
Will upload video another day, am away all weekend from now.
I won the Onimaru match relatively handily. A bold opening throw was all I needed to really get everything in order. Onimaru has a slightly difficult time against Quince since dodges are powerful and Oni doesn’t KD except with FA which he doesn’t usually need against the majority of Quince’s attacks. Anywho, SPIN TO WIN, BABYCAKES.
We were close on all of the Troq games but Caralad is much more clutch than I am, turns out. I played Rykerball and it was PRETTY FUN so that was cool. I’m happy we came down to the last match and that the last match was me at 10 HP and Caralad at 4. SO TENSE, SO FRAUGHT, SUCH DECISIONS. I cast Cycloid Revolution into the abyss of his dodge and then he threw me, but because he was giant, it killed me.
I think almost every game was really close. Lots of games coming down to lethal vs lethal. And just when I thought I was going to get 3-1’d, I ended up somehow pulling it out. GGs!
This was even closer than the results show; multiple games ended with us both one combat away from death. Turns out that because neither of us has a good Setsuki counter, I ended up getting even more Setsuki mirrors… Still a very fun set!
Final score: Hobusu 3 – flagrantangles 1
Hobusu wins!
This is one of my favorite matchups in Yomi, just for all the fun dynamics between these two characters! Neither of us wanted to counterpick because of how much we were enjoying it (though in my case I don’t really have much better of a choice anyway). Both of us were able to land raw Qs against throws, and most of the games ended fairly close.
snoc vs @Ivan
TPOSed
faceup crossup TPOSed
not TPOSed
not TPOSed
TPOS dodged, timeout win
snoc wins 3-2!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa this matchup is so one-dimensional
TokH vs Caralad
3-0
Bananas game that ends with Geiger having like 15 cards left in deck and all Js, Qs, Ks and As in discard pile. Clutch strat was drawing all my 10s and playing 5 million Bubble Shields.
In comes the bull. I think this came down to a 50/50 that I got the better half of.
Fish goes down to 3 health, BS blocks AA, chips down to 1, then guesses correctly to close it out.
GGs!
snoc vs @MR75
booped
Q clash at 16 hp vs 1 hp to win
Quince can’t get in, I spot out the haymakers and close it out with 60hp
More of the same, perfecto.
snoc wins 3-1!
GGs! Shame those Quince games were over so quickly, it’s an interesting matchup if Quince can make some spins/PM happen.
