Astute observers may have noticed that I haven’t posted a new week in at least 2 weeks. I’ve been on vacation/working from home with children, so my habits around updating are all out of whack. I make no promises about exactly when then next round will go out, but I should be back on something of a regular schedule in a week and a half at most.

That was a fun set! Persephone can be very demoralizing to play against when things go her way, and those first two games both ended with them going extremely her way… But I managed to make a comeback. I still felt like there was a good chance I could lose in two of the games I won though, and the last one ended with me at 3 HP after taking 3 chip from blocking On Your Knees! Definitely looking forward to more games with you.

Quince’s washing machine supported by good draws made it.
And Lum wasn’t lucky tonight: 3rd game, first roll the dice: a Joker…

Yeah, long games and some frustrating draws. I don’t think a single Two Truths flip missed a face card or another 2… And I haven’t played in a little while, so I was definitely rusty.

snoc wins 3-0!

Again a bit frazzled with a few pauses necessary so some details are lacking. G2 I won with 57 hp remaining, and G1 I think was a little closer, despite a serious brain fart (reminiscent of the one against @flagrantangles a while back) thinking that 3.4 - 2 = 1 to clash with Clockwork Soldiers. Still managed to defuse both of the aces that Xiba managed to attach throughout the set and squeeze out a win.

The Geiger game was tough for Xiba too, struggling to draw Time Spirals early. I managed to joker the pumps on AA, and in the endgame despite TD up and some deep digs with R&D, Geiger’s second joker couldn’t be found after I bursted a K underneath a J.

Things I learned from this set:

Degrey can do nearly 40 damage in 2 turns using only 2 cards. Moral High Ground is mean to Gwen.
The biggest obstacle to playing Gwen is correctly counting the damage your combo will do so you don’t leave your opponent alive on 1hp when you could have had lethal.

Very fun set!
