Thoughts

Finesse: Quick virtuoso rushdown, particular since Nekoatl is going first. Best bet for me in this case would be Potent Basiliks and a Tower.
Peace: Standard Peace engine. I think Ancients are faster, though, and Nekoatl has no upgrade removal if I slap down a MoLaC as well. I can Nature Reclaims any Garrisons, so might not be facing this anyway.
Truth: Will call for easy ways to got at a Macciatus hiding in the back. Easy pickings if Macciatus isn’t out, since I’ve got a few cheap Neutral spells before I add anything else. I can easily reach Macciatus with cheap Sprites or the Mimic wrecking ball depending on what I’m doing. Alternatively ““instant”” options, I could temporarily remove Macciatus’s ability with a Faerie Dragon or a Polymorph: Squirrel.

We’ve both got reasons to spam the board here, so I probably want an early Discord. After that, my guess is to go for Balance, since the Mimics and Basilisks should handle any Finesse rush, and Truth if given targeted spell support.

Thoughts

Going for Harmony over Panda or Fencer here for blocking, and it’ll be a nice setup if I go for Ancients. Just need to keep River safe.

Blocking with Flagbearer isn’t ideal, but Hasty Messenger isn’t going to cut it if Nekoatl is rushing. I really need River to stay alive. Even with Flagbearer down, River could die if does something like perfect-drawing into Hasty Fencer and Elite Training, so I’m teching in Galina instead of risking a Discord this early.

Thoughts

I prefer to get my Peace spec from a Tech Lab, but I can’t afford to built one this turn, and if I can maintain this momentum, I won’t need to dual-spec anyway. That kind of depends on if I can luck into drawing a Garrison quickly, though… if not, I might starve out and be in real trouble. If I weren’t worried about a Tiny Basilisk dropping, I would hold off on playing the Cadet for the extra draw, but I don’t think I can afford to. Once a Garrison does drop, though, I’ll need to get Free Speech going ASAP to guard against Nature Reclaims.
