Line one - HE, kill panda (7), hero (5), StW kill beast and HE (3), PL attacks and kills Cala, hero levelsā€¦ then what? Gorgon I guess. Gorgon blocks Ancient, nect turn maybe I play a Zarramonde into his Guargum. Line two - Abomination (6), PL attacks and dies but kills panda and ancient and runes Cala and Arg, HE kills beast (1). Line one leaves my PL but his ancient, line 2 leave me with an abom and him Cala. Iā€™m getting tired of Cala and a Gorgon is not bad to have as a blocker, plus if it survives - which it should - a Vandy can DP next turn or a Garth summon up or an Orpal spread runesā€¦ Line one it is. Which hero? Most of my spells are Vandy, so I actually want to have her in the tank and Garth as a desperation res-block, so Orpal maybe; then again, Vandy gets more survivability on 3. He has no haste, so shouldnā€™t be able to get past my Gorgon. THEN AGAIN: Worst case scenario next turn? Probs a blocker and Lookout Guargum that I canā€™t shoot down because it would cost 13. I need to keep my Gorgon safe and available to kill it - so I need to patrol my hero, and next turn hopefully use PL to clear the way for a Gorgon Sentinel Kill. Hero may die - so lets get some value with Orpal. SOUNDS GOOD. This plan deals with the T3 I think, all else I can improvise for.

No Zarramonde on the draw. DP may draw me one to use on anything without resist, which means anything but The Big G, and if I can play my obliterator first I probably win. An exciting match!

2 damage on Plague Lord. I still have a Tower.

Iā€™m running out of different variations on thinks. Anyway, with a tech 3 break, I can slap down my tech 3 first, hopefully. No guarantees on him living of course, but at least maybe I can prevent Zarramonde some more. This game has been weird.

I think I need to counterkill his Tech III here. That means drawing a shadow blade I think, so DP time even though I donā€™t want my Tech IIIs in hand now. ------------------------------------------- No luck. Now I could use 9 gold to get out a max Garth ā€¦ but only ofr what is in my discard currently, as I didnā€™t tech for failure before drawing here. A learning point! And none of that is useful. SO. PL is getting a soulstone, that is clear (8). I can draw one more by Garth (6), kill Orpal with the gorgon, midband and skele (4). That gives me a 1/5 chance of getting the SB overallā€¦ so a high risk play. With my remaining 4 gold, I could drop imp and float one, patrol imp and two heroes, and have 13 to smite down Guargum next turn with Big Z. What else could I do with my 8 gold? Again, I would need to arrange things so that a Gorgon could get to a Big G wherever it is. he has two or 3 cards in hand and one backline unit, and one here available, so could probably block with 3 things. I canā€™t get through that, can I? I can drop imp (5), BC (3) and Crow (0) to take one of this two cards and threaten 3 damage to his base. Underwhelming. Iā€™M GOING FOR IT. ---------------------------------------- Failuuuuure. and ruined my Zarramonde play next turn. Worst world. Maybe I donā€™t bother with the soulstone and stil down a Crow instead? Maybe I donā€™t bother killing Arg because he does 3 damage per turn whilst he is there, and draws him a card if I kill him now? Also I may want to re-draw that to make my Gorgon relevant again. OK, the ā€œhope that card in his hand is irrelevantā€ strat is GO.

I would have been so mad if youā€™d hit my Guargum.

I could tell, I was expecting more tech IIs and Guargum for so long! it seemed very unlucky. Though did your hand ever recover from discarding 2 for Calamandra on turn 2?

I suppose not. Green really needs card draw.
