Nice, gg! I figured I was probably dead either this turn or next.
Thinking I should have remembered Graveyard and teched in an early Nature Reclaims to just kill it before you got too much card advantage off of it.
I don’t know if Nature Reclaims would have helped you that much. On turn 4, I didn’t even play anything out of the Graveyard, and on turn 6, I didn’t need to, so turn 5 was the only turn that I played something out of the Graveyard and it mattered. It was useful for the deck thinning though. Instead of teching Nature Reclaims, I think you would have been better off playing more aggressively to break my Graveyard with combat damage or stop me from playing it in the first place. If you had played Calamandra instead of Arg on turn 2, I would have been much less inclined to run out Vandy + Poisonblade Rogue on my turn.
Following that, I think your first tech wasn’t good. This led to you making some disadvantageous trades on turns 3 and 4. I don’t think Dinosize is good early in the game. It’s really expensive, and hard to get it to trade with a card of equal value.
We can take a look at the trades that happened on turns 3 and 4:
P1T3:
You play Dinosize and trade off Ironbark to kill my Imp, Vandy, and Pestering Haunt.
You traded 7 gold and 3 cards (counting the discard from Imp) for my 5 gold and 1 card (after Technician). You also get 2 gold back from midbanding Arg.
P2T3:
I kill your Treant with my Poisonblade Rogue, and you draw a card. This is pretty much neutral, although I think it would have been better to put the Treant in Elite here, as I think you’d rather have the Rogue dead than another card in hand.
P1T4:
You play Rampant Growth and trade L3 Arg for my Tiny Basilisk.
You traded 1 card and 6 gold for my 1 card and 2 gold.
As another note on this turn, instead of patrolling the Prospector and floating a gold, I would have spent 2 gold to maxband Arg and get the elemental before trading him off.
P2T4:
I play Deteriorate and trade off Poisonblade Rogue for your wisp, Prospector, and Centaur.
2 cards and 2 gold for 2 cards and 3 gold (after scavenger).
So, the net total after my turn 4 is that you were down roughly 2 cards and 5 gold. In addition, as player 1, you have an innate economic disadvantage, so it’s usually your responsibility to try and be proactive and make advantageous trades.
Now, let’s imagine a parallel universe. In this universe, on turn 2, you played Calamandra instead of Arg on turn 2, and teched a Centaur instead of Dinosize. Suppose my turn 2 remains unchanged. Now, on your turn 3, your turn looks like this:

This position looks a lot stronger. You’re actually up on gold now, and have a decent board to start attacking with.
