Wording on cards is ambiguous, jail says cards that r “played from hand” and strike says “put two units from my hand into play”
Can’t find firm ruling but found two different people saying both possibilities on other threads.

“Playing from hand” and “putting into play from hand” are different things. The former is where you pay to play a card as normal, the latter is where you don’t pay or need the required Tech building unless noted otherwise. Because of its wording, Jail only affects the former case.
